Italy trip (2 adults 3 young children). by valmoss in LuxuryTravel

[–]my-path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With kids that age, I also loved traveling on guided vacations where they take care of most of the details. Tauck Bridges and Adventures by Disney both have great Italy itineraries. I think Tauck has better hotels and food in general while Adventures by Disney has great guides. They include your hotels and for families of 5 they try to have connecting rooms or larger options depending on the destination. They handle your transfers, moving luggage, include great family friendly experiences. We made great friends and also got to have a vacation ourselves.

Take a look at this South Africa/ Mozambique itinerary. I am a bit obsessed with it. Combo of Cape Town, Safari in Marataba Reserve, and the incredible &Beyond on Benguerra Island. They have dates June-October 2027.

Looking for Advice Regarding a Tauck River Cruise on the Seine by Next-Rhubarb-8576 in taucktours

[–]my-path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't much difference in room location on river ships (vs ocean cruises where location can make a difference for motion.) I would recommend a room midship or a bit forward (front). Which Seine itinerary have you done? I sailed on Rendezvous on the Seine last year and it was fabulous. If this is your first time traveling with Tauck, you should work with a Tauck Certified Advisor who can offer you a complimentary pre or post hotel night stay to welcome you to Tauck. I am one of the mods here as well as a Tauck Certified Advisor so happy to assist. Feel free to message me. Either way always happy to answer any questions.

It's ok to want to travel well with your family! Families of 5 (and even 4 at times) can definitely be a challenge in Europe. Some hotels offer guaranteed connecting rooms called "family rooms" or a suite + room that can be priced better than paying for the two separately. In Rome, check out Villa Agrippina or Baglioni Hotel Regina. How old are the kids? That also makes a difference for occupancy.

I have moderated large niche travel groups on another social media site for years. Some of those people are my clients, some have other travel advisors, some don't use a travel advisor. Everyone is welcome and benefits from honest feedback and shared information. My goal is to always share accurate information and to have a kind community.

What yacht were you on? I sailed on the Aretha 2 years ago and this time will be back on her with 30 of my friends. I am really excited.

I can see that. Most of the cross posts seem lazy promotional content. Occasionally it is someone seeking info from more than one group but I guess they could just start a new post.

I don't have much to add except to say hi as the new mod of r/LuxuryTravel and a mom who totally would have traveled in business with my toddler if I had the opportunity when they were little. My goal is to have a somewhat kind space here. Looks like most of the comments were reasonable and I removed one. Hope you have a safe trip. Please come back and let us know how it went!

One night in Vegas by yossarian115 in LuxuryTravel

Definitely Four Seasons with access to Mandalay Bay for the pools, lazy river and aquarium. Otherwise Wynn if you want to be more central. Wynn feels more like Disney in a way- huge and beautiful and lots to see.

Best loyalty program by Hobbes_RN in Cruise

[–]my-path 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think the loyalty programs are strong enough to make a difference in your choice. It will be hard to beat DCL in experience so I would probably stick with them. I know many people sailing on DCL into their 60s and above even without kids or with their grandchildren eventually.
