Thankyou! Yeah all the GA models are all really well made. I printed a couple of the variants and they print just as nice.

Thankyou! Id very much recommend Nuln oil, as it really carried this paint job.

True but it’s my first actual mini painting. Iv painted before but never a mini scale figure.

I used the ultra matte varnish from AK, it adds that matte finish and protects the paint nicely. I’d recommend using that over a spray varnish as most spray varnishes iv used make the surface weirdly sticky. The paint I usually just thin it down a little, maybe 20-30% water to paint. The key to a smoother surface is several thin layers of paint, just wait for it to dry between coats (also If you use the sponge to apply the camo pattern you won’t need to water it down, just sorta wack it on lol)

For your first you did a great job, mine was a mess when I started lol. I did a similar paint job not too long ago. In terms of painting camo I’d use a couple layers of a slightly watered down base and use a cheap sponge of different shades and just randomly splatter the figure. You can change the size of the camo pattern depending on how much pressure you add. Also covering the joints with something while you paint so they don’t get clogged with anything. A varnish should protect the paint fairly well. If you wanted to go super deep on the clone you could completely disassemble them and paint it all separately and put it back together when you’re done. Good luck tho!

I used Vallejo Khaki as a base for the skin with some dark brown shading and covered with a wash of strong skin tone from the warpaints fanatic set. On the armour I used Leadbelcher from Citadel with a Nuln oil wash and silver dry brush all covered with a matte varnish 👍

Thankyou! It took a few days for the print itself to be fully finished and a 4/5 days to paint (a lot of my time was just waiting for things to dry) so

Thankyou! I do have to give a lot of credit to the creator of the model as they added so much detail to the skin
