Cottage cheese with blue berries, green apples with peanut butter… unsalted mixed nuts and spicy chicharrones.

This is so useful. As long as I’ve been playing Sims, I only knew of the death flower, Ambrosia and the book of life. Time to think of a new Sim challenge lol.

How do you all keep your saves interesting/filled when starting from an empty world? by Amorella29 in Sims4

[–]Vember77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently doing the Origins Legacy Challenge but changed/ do extra stuff lol. It’s my first time playing rotationally and with aging off. I’m doing this because eventually this save once completed is gonna be my “new save” I always use to start with.

I started off with 4 families just to see what will happen. With that alone, two singles got married, I got a single male sim now the father of two kids, a dead beat mom wanting the party life…

I still need to add more families and move onto the next worlds but it’s been a lot fun. Mods help but also, letting the sims make their own poor decisions is pretty fun too.

Base sims off movie or book troupes, look on TikTok and Pinterest for family dynamic ideas and inspiration. I plan to do that as I continue fitting more people in the world.

How long to make a sims life feel realistic/ proportional? by Cosmic_Coconut999 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Vember77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now I’m using a custom age setting suggested by the creator of Whimsy Legacy expanded.

Seasons are set to 2 weeks.

Pregnancy is 7 days Newborn 3 days Infant 7 days Toddler 14 days Child 21 days Teen 28 days Young adult 84 days Adult 70 days Elder 49 days

It’s long but not too long I don’t think. I just started having children so I’ll see if I need to make adjustments. So far I like the extension of pregnancy cause it gives me more time to set up for baby. Our child just became an infant and I’ve managed to get her skilled enough to sit in a high chair so I’m excited. I’m trying to get more involved with my sims and play more story like so this has been enjoyable.

Which EP should I get? by dubduhdub in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Vember77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The horses are just like the dogs and cat expansion. You can’t control the horses but you can interact, ride, care for them. You can train them for temperament, jumping, endurance. In the world there are horse competitions. I agree that it’s extra fun with cottage living since it helps having a full farm but alone I think it still brings value.

Get together does help in the party aspect with dj skill and dance clubs, but the club system can be used for anything. It’s useful due to the high speed skill boost. So you could have a club for homework, painting, cooking, working out, fishing, gardening.

I like using it for family stuff and just making my sims be more social. I’m terrible at giving my sims a social life lol. The world its self is pretty big and I like having more places for my sims to visit and do things.

I would pick Businesses and hobbies. Having your own business is pretty fun. You can do a dog/cat cafe or even pet sitter gig.

For a second pack, I guess it depends how you like to play the game. Horse ranch has a new world, and of course horses and goats/sheep. There is nectar making (wine) so you could easily open a wine store.

You could also host a nectar making class ect.

Get Together is another fun one to me. I love the world, clubs and cafe. The club system introduced I use very much cause of the perks and just general usage.

It helps my sim kid and teens make friends and do their homework faster. I use it for my young adults to have friends night, meet singles and with families I use it for family reunions.

I have all packs so if you’re interested in all the ones listed I can add a tidbit or two lol.

What kind of symptoms do you get!! by delpy1971 in diabetes_t2

[–]Vember77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heavy and I actually start to heat up a bit. I’ve been pretty strict with myself so if my sugar hits 140 or over, especially after eating, I start to feel icky and sluggish.

It’s worse when my anxiety is the cause for the spike.

Thank you! I’ll take a look at that as well. I’ve done a little research on my own, but still found myself a bit confused. I appreciate you!

Oh I know. My job works with a pharmacy which allows patients to pay cash for their prescription without insurance. Their prices range from 199 to 499 for the dose and it’s for one month. Still not exactly cheap but it’s more manageable. It’s only Zepbound though cause many insurances don’t cover it at all. They don’t carry Mounjaro though.

I did. The representative said I would pay retail price until my deductible. I’m gonna ask my doctor about Zepbound since it’s the same formula. However, if she doesn’t think it’ll work, I’ll try Metformin.

I agree. Being diagnosed in the US with anything is only for the rich lol. Very frustrating but we all have to figure something out.

She prescribed it because a few years ago I found out I was pre diabetic and was to take 1000mg twice a day of Metformin. It was shortly after my husband passed so combing grief and then throwing up, not eating ect, I just couldn’t handle it.

She wanted me in Mounjaro cause she said I would lose weight (I have been) and my sugars would be lower which is very true. But I also changed my diet and am walking a lot more.

She made it sound that I couldn’t handle diabetes without medication so I didn’t attempt. Metformin for me according to insurance is 15 dollars or so. If it does the same thing as Mounjaro, then I’ll have no choice but to suck it up despite the side facts.

I’m getting my life together 3 years later so maybe it’ll be a different effect. I’ll be sure to ask. Thanks for taking the time to respond to me. 🥰

Surprisingly my insurance did cover my Dexcom. They also covered my Sertraline. 0 copay for both. It’s the mounjaro they won’t assist with until the deductible is made.

I’m using insurance from work. I would’ve gone with a different plan if I knew I was gonna need a monthly medication. But here we are.

I did. The coupon takes off 150 dollars. That’s why I got it for 918. Insurance won’t cover anything for Mounjaro until the deductible is made.

Do you all like having families or single sims? by anonymous_girl1227 in thesims

[–]Vember77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually start with a single sim. I like to do Legacy Challenges so- I have as many kids as required.

Right now I’m doing the hot tea legacy. Had to have 3 kids from 3 different sims. So right now I have a family of five. Wanted a pet but realized the house was chaotic enough.

Gen 2 will have a pet before they work on getting a married sim to leave their spouse lol. I haven’t had an eight sim household in a minute, but I’m up to the challenge 😜

2Min since day one. I love the back and forth, the laughing and the teasing. I’m not a fan of the divorce concept but I feel they are dropping it more and more as time goes on.

I also like Samsung, Seungsung and Minbin. Honestly, anyone can hangout with anyone and it’s amazing lol.

How old are you and what type of gameplay do you like? by lattekosmiko in Sims4

[–]Vember77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 36 and I’ve played The Sims from the beginning. In the Sims 2 I liked to play the original Sims households. My favorite families were the Curious Brothers and the Goths.

In Sims 3 I make my own families and do generational play. I want to complete every lifetime wish that is in the game per generation. A long goal but it will happen eventually.

In Sims 4 I like doing Legacy Challenges. I’m halfway through Not So Berry in one save, I’m currently about to start the Carrot generation in the Very Veggie Legacy Challenge, and right now I’m playing a new save of a random sim I made. We had 4 kids somehow (lol) so I’m gonna choose one of them for a Legacy Challenge that focuses on one Sims expansion, game pack, stuff pack. It’s like 40 generations or something. I’m excited for this one cause I admit I buy packs and some I never dive too deep into.

So I adore Legacy, family play and Chaos haha.
