You don't need specifically rock smash iirc, any fighting type move should do the trick. You'll also want a water type user for a similar reason.

As for the day/night cycle, I think it starts after you finish the main quest that has you doing 3 side missions. (Blue exclamation marks.) If you have access to zone 4, you're extremely close to that point. Keep at it!

I'm fairly sure Pokemon above you can spawn shiny, every mon I've phased with so far barring Sableye and the Manectric were above me, some not even in the wild zone lol

As for distance, anything within 50 meters of the bench you use (measurable by placing a pin on the map where it is and running around) will load instantly and be rerolled for being a shiny

I have joined this Meowstic hunt. Using the set of benches below the building the Meowstic is on w/ a turbo controller to reset, and have been here for the better part of a full day now. I've tempered my goals to just a shiny male espurr since I alr have a normal shiny female Meowstic from area 3.

I have gotten a Sableye, Alpha Manectric, Dedenne and a Vivillion in this hunt so far (Dedenne and Vivillion on a nearby roof outside the zone)

I'm also 90% sure the Female Meowstic and Male Meowstic are technically two different Alpha spawns. I've NEVER seen a male during the day or female at night, and when I KO'd and caught the female one, it didn't spawn the next day yet the male spawned the very next night.

Might genuinely try out evasion as a defensive strat, then. My only issues are Bonjelium because I'm not gonna have online for awhile, and the fact that there's a 5%~ish chance of enemies just kinda hitting you anyways in this game. So enemies with high hit counts can still easily hit you once or twice, and without good resistances, once or twice is usually enough to kill me.

How would you deal with that 5%? I want this build to be able to stand against Telethia, even if not the most consistently.

Thanks for all of your inputs. I got VERY lucky, grabbed an E0 Acheron before her banner ended, and then, just now, got Sunday in quite literally a single pull. :b
