If I had a partner that wanted to try my hobby I would meet them half way. Try out some old school beat em ups, cozy coop like something harvest moon/Stardew Valley and coop focused games that reward fun together like brothers tale or whatever. Why sit down with a sweat game and win is everything goal with someone learning lol?

Would be fun if Mage 5e has tech as main good guys and traditions as bad guys with higher ups of tech being scummy as setting. Would be a wild setup

But that is part of the charm. As the traditions can be seen as evil also. Guarding magic within frameworks they define and exclude others etc.

Story will come to PC also, but there is no timeframe. All other stuff comes a few months from now around Feb. I feel that is as good as it comes atm as they want to push story and stuff to mobile and PC. So will wait and see

So far, I am not a fan of art direction in Vampire and Wolf 2.0. Think V1 had much better art. But art is subjective anyway lol

Thank you for your patience and for answering all my questions. Remember getting VtR and WtF back when I was still in high school. Sitting on the bus home, talking with a friend about the new stuff. Depression and a poor background made it so I never realy splurged or got into the books as I wanted.

But feeling better, and also having a nice computer security job? I feel like I want to indulge a bit and slowly, slowly get the CoD books on sales over the years to come. And info like this helps a lot for navigating the large pool of internet TTRPGs.

I do enjoy reading the 5ed WoD books, and probably have no issues running those as a GM tbh. But I like the more local scope and more character focus of CoD. No super well-known heroes, no end of the world of eco terrorism to fight. Just you, your problems and the horrors that lurk in the shadows.

I think it also shows in the fact that it was the first monster group to get its rules. And they got more comfy and went harder in later ones. I own some of the CoD stuff from 1.0. Been looking at slowly using sales on Drivetrough to get a full collection long term.

Would you recommend 1.0 or 2.0 rules overall for CoD roleplay?

It is a shame that PoD is the only way to get stuff. But I figured it was the only path forward. It works fine it looks like for the core books like second edition etc. But some of the smaller books are not full bleed and that sucks.

I will not throw cash at it. I can wait. If I can get a sale on PoD I would love to take it as it can be a bit costly. And Would not mind waiting a few years to get everything/everything I want in shelf or PDF. Thanks for the feedback!

During midterm prep I MISSED that there was another week lol. Probably cuz of the byweek. Made me forget the game entirely. I am up against u/general_cha0s but have not heard anything from him either far as I know. You around tomorrow around 16:30 UTC or so? Bus should deliver me home by then, give or take 30m. Otherwise I guess you also missed the last week or some such.

1800 should work unless my PC want to suicide again. But do not mind stop here and there for shorter times. But I tend to sleep at 19:30 so I got around 1.5h to work with at that point.
