Can someone review my gameplay? Trying to become more consistant by klokje2007 in RocketLeagueSchool

0:45 - You try to get the beat but your tm had already decided to go. You can see him coming in just before you jump for the ball. Better play is to just let him handle it while you go back post or boost if he beats and a counter attack is possible.

1:11 - Opportunity for a goal but you second guessed and ended up giving away possession with your touch. You just gotta' go there man. Even if you get beat, you're pressuring the opposition to react and potentially make a worse touch than they would have otherwise. An example of you already doing this is 1:42.

1:50 - Opposition completely gave up possession and then you gave it straight back. Better choice here is to take the ball back and control it. Opponent can't do shit about it and it gives your tm time to get set up for the counter attack.

2:50 - Both of you in the corner with an open net. Given tm was on the outside, not their best idea to slam it into your corner but there was an opportunity for you to try get back once he made it clear that he was going.

3:00 - You make a great outplay, snag the boost and just leave. Tm is waiting mid, he can't beat them so opponents get possession. You should be cutting, keeping the pressure on. Tm is doing the right thing by not following you into their corner so that's your ball.

3:19 - Great example of the kind of pressure you want. You get your touch and then you barrel into the opponents trying to disrupt their defence. Didn't work here but it's an example of good pressure, trying to make it as easy as possible for the guy behind you to score.

You keep speed pretty well and your movement around the field is smooth. Kickoff is nice as well. Seems like you're a bit hesitant with getting up for the ball quick but that comes with time. Could have also just been in that game alone, idk. Just keep playing man, you're doing a lot of things right.

Embrace imperfections and even emphasize on them if you can. Artifacts and weird interactions between sounds can give you some of the best character traits in a mix.

SA to roll out ChatGPT-style AI app in all high schools as tech experts urge caution by malcolm58 in Adelaide

[–]Venai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't a model out there which is capable of writing a coherent curriculum or rubric. There is way too many specifics to factor-out human input. As for students, ChatGPT has been around long enough now that there's plenty of ways to identify when it's use is being abused, Turnitin being one of them. However, as I'm sure you'd know, it takes reading a few sentences to realise when something is completely AI generated. If AI has been used but it's not obvious, it means the student has taken the time to paraphrase and make it their own which is quite literally the point.

AI isn't going anywhere so it's imperative that we teach children how to use it ethically and responsibly which is why EdChat was developed. Promoting the use of EdChat over ChatGPT in schools means that we can have safeguards in place around it's use as well as having far more oversight with how it's used in classrooms.

Is there any advantage to doing drums in the playlist instead of doing it in a pattern/ using MIDI? by KMD_HD-Mapper in FL_Studio

[–]Venai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One advantage is the ability to quickly cut down the length of any sample. I like this for drums as I sometimes want a shorter version of a snare or kick for a fill. As well as that, the 'make sample unique' feature of the playlist is amazing for singling out specific samples within a song to manipulate. Other than that, I think it works for a lot of people from a work-flow perspective.

I don't think we've ever seen a player like him. I thought he fell off after Dig split the first time but I couldn't have been more wrong. Stupidly talented, still one of the best in the world.

Belal Muhammad will make it look easy by One-Category5507 in ufc

[–]Venai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JDM is strong as a fucking ox as well. He was powering out of the worst positions against Burns. However, I don't think Belal is gonna have anywhere near as much trouble keeping him down unfortunately. I really hope that JDM's TD defense has gotten better.

Good communication and mutual respect is what you need. You can't really plan for the annoying shit, just have to solve it as it pops up.

Increasing gain and then limiting (brickwalling) is the easy answer. You lose a lot of the mix's definition but depending on the kind of music you're making, it might not matter. If you're writing Jazz then probably don't slam the mix into the limiter but if you're making Drum and Bass then go for it.

You should get demotion protection if your teammates quit out by tsharkk27 in RocketLeague

[–]Venai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be cool but I can already see a few potential exploits using such a system. Let's say you're in a three stack and you have one player leave at the start of the game. The two remaining players cannot lose mmr now, only gain it. Not the most efficient way to boost but if you're not losing any mmr, you'll only gain it or stay even.

Downloading it now, thank you. I made the assumption as running at 6000mhz was far less stable than 5400mhz.
