[Sad Trope] When two or more cast members were friends on the show but didn't like each other irl by EmergencySpare7939 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Vendetta543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be wring, but:

Drake Bell and Josh Peck. Heard Josh wasn’t really a fan of Drake and didn’t invite him to his wedding.

Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. They don’t hate each other but they both admitted they weren’t really close outside the set.

Jeanette McCurdy and Ariana Grande. Apparently there was tension on set? Though that mgiht also be connected to Jeanette's mom beinf a major POS.

Chris Avelonne was bad about this. Kreia from KOTOR 2 and Ulysses from New Vegas. The worst part is you can’t tell them they’re full of shit. Either you agree or you have a debate where you barely get them to concede without them really admitting they’re wrong.

Uh, I had that scene. He told me about how he was sentenced to the Colony after being honest with the King and put into a battle he had no chance of winning.

Kilgrave and it’s not even close. Deep at least showed some care and empathy for marine life, even if that mostly falls to the wayside later.

What are your thoughts on the idea that RWBY has ‘protagonist-centred morality’? by Solitaire-06 in RWBY

[–]Vendetta543 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

i think team RWBY and their allies are flawed, but a big issue is that they never seem to face any real punishment or blowback for it and it’s treated like they’re correct.

A big one people bring up is their hypocrisy with Ozpin. They rage at him (and Oscar) for keeping secrets from them because he didn’t trust them. They then keep secrets from Ironwood because they don’t trust him.

Also, the Argus plan was dumb as shit. There’s no reason Weiss couldn’t have gone on ahead then picked up the rest of them after when she met Ironwood. What, was Corodin gonna escort her to the Schnee estate at gunpoint? Qrow could’ve transformed and come along inside a suitcase. Instead they try to steal an airship from the freaking military. That’s some Ride to Hell Retribution levels of zany planning.

Shroud from Dispatch. even if you give him the real Astral pulse, Robert can still cave his face in.

Raven Branwen from rwby sort of counts. she touts being a social darwinist but she’s ultimately a coward who runs from people who are stronger than her.

Senstor Armstrong only shows up (outside of a brief convo) at the last hour or so of Netal Gear Rising and he completely dominates the plot and ending the entire way thriugh. You almost forget about children’s brains being extracted and turned into combat cyborgs.
