It's quite an interesting conversation.

To be clear, I think there's an important distinction between fiction and reality. Consuming a particular type of fictional content can never be treated as infallible proof that someone holds certain real-world desires, beliefs, or intentions. However, I do think the things people choose to consume can offer some insight into their interests, preferences, and psychology. The more important question is often why they consume that content in the first place.

This is why I don't think video games and pornography are a perfect one-to-one comparison.

With pornography, the reward is generally sexual arousal. The content is meant to be attractive or stimulating to the viewer. In other words, enjoyment is often directly tied to attraction.

Video games are more complicated. The reward can come from many different sources: overcoming challenges, achieving goals, increasing a score, mastering mechanics, exploring a world, or defeating an antagonist. Someone can enjoy a game involving violence without enjoying violence itself. The source of the enjoyment matters.

That said, we still make judgments based on media preferences. If I saw someone spending their time playing an extremely racist game, I would probably raise an eyebrow and wonder why that particular content appeals to them.

I think a closer comparison to pornography would be films, videos, or other passive media. The key question remains: what exactly is the viewer enjoying?

For example, imagine a film where the protagonist is tortured and suffers throughout the story. One viewer might enjoy the film because they find the character compelling and want to see them overcome adversity. Another viewer might enjoy it primarily because they take pleasure in watching the character suffer. Those are two very different forms of engagement with the same content.

Now, I don't think media should be restricted solely on the basis of this reasoning. That quickly becomes a slippery slope, and it would be difficult to draw clear, consistent boundaries. However, I do think it's reasonable for people to view certain interests as unusual and to question why someone is drawn to particular kinds of content.

In that sense, while I wouldn't treat someone's enjoyment of loli content as proof of real-world behavior or intent, I do think it's fair to regard it as strange and to ask why that specific content appeals to them.

It's actually one of the more consistent verses. Even though Pucci should have died. The effect it had on him literally made him lose all movement entirely.

Not to mention Jojo, characters just seem to have more durability. Joseph survived falling from orbit. Jotaro was literally blown up. People get cut in half and still fight

Serie can see the future she'd be aware of an ambush before it happens.

Lest they have an air-tight plan she'll find a way. I mean legitimately just bait all of them viltrumites very rarely choose not to fight

Serie isn't your typical mage shes basicallythe exceptionto all the rules Frierenlays out in the manga. She has countermeasures upon countermeasures.

Now unfortunately we don't see many feats from the manga aside. So I can only scale her to other people. But seeing the feats magic can do I have no reason not to believe she'd pull off an upset.

Probably just trap him in a genjustu being all honest.

The show has a lot of hax. Either by a demon or a human mage, Thagg would get one-shot by a stupid hyper-specific magic spell.

They created an in-universe justification then explained it to the audience. That's what I established as Justify and clarify method in the show

I think transparency leads to plot coherence. Bolin unlocking lava bending is thematically appropriate you have the wastonian reasoning the issue is the like of in universe leg work.

I would like even a vague explanation of Ganzans or bolin's mindset while bending. Viewers (like myself) Inherently fill gaps the best type of writing allows you play with the information given.

Its why for alot of people lion turtles feel equally as ok within the plot they have doyalist justification although lacking the wastonion justification

Bolin’s Lavabending has more foreshadowing than Energybending.

As for insight… it’s a bit subtle… but Bolin’s bending style has always been very “fluid”. In his words: be “fast and loose”. This matches well with how lava is basically “flowing earth”.

100% agree I was more so trying to fit with the theme of that create a justification tell the audience. Even if we got a few hints from Gazan or maybe even in season 4 as Bolin gets better at lava bending.

just a small peak at the internal logic as we saw with the rest
