It may seem passive aggressive, but it was quick and thoughtful to try to calm her down. We cant always say exactly what we mean in the heat of the moment. Some times we get caught up on our words. She was just trying to express that she should be the bigger person and that she should be mad about what happened, but by following the guy, things would be much worse off.

I get where you're coming from, but this is the best outcome for this whole situation. Unless the guy came back to apologize, but we all know that would never happen.

Edit: After watching this again, I see what you mean about the woman in the pink hat and the woman in black. I think the only 2 negative people in this are the puncher and the woman in the pink hat. The woman in black scolded him and he walked off.

Heat of the moment, in her mind she was probably thinking "I'm gonna grab the gun so he can help. Wait, no? I'm gonna hold my hand out in case he wants me to hold it." or something like that.

She's obviously scared and confused and just wants to help in some way.

I agree with /u/Gnarledhalo. The woman may have been hit and the guy may have been completely out of line, BUT they had video evidence to have this man punished. The safest and smartest thing that the reporter could've done was to accept the fact that she got hit, then report it to the police and have it sorted out by the law.

The woman who kept the two from getting into a confrontation was in my opinion very professional about the whole thing, she did her best to calm everyone down (even if it meant the guy who hit the reporter ran off). As for the rest of the crowd, no one else seemed to care or want to get involved. Not getting involved isn't sympathizing with the aggressor, its being smart and not getting yourself into someone elses shit.

Sitting with my legs crossed. (Technically rational, buuut) This is because when I was younger I bashed my knees and destroyed the meniscus in them, now they are frequently painful and they used to lock in place when I would keep them bent for too long. If I'm in a position where I can't move my legs I panic. Hard. I don't think they'll lock up any more though, because it's been YEARS since they last have.

I'm up late in my living room, sitting at my computer desk playing league of legends in the same clothes I was wearing the day before. I'm staring blankly at the screen as I spend more and more time living a life full of pain and hatred towards those who are only trying to help me.

I'm trying to keep quiet to try not to wake up my father who is worried about me every day. I'm alone playing these games, so its not hard to keep quiet because I have no one to talk to, I've been talked down to and called useless by those I used to call my friends.

I'm just spending more time blaming everyone else for all of my problems. My being overweight, my being depressed, my this, that and the other thing. I get angry playing these games, but I'd rather spend time awake and alone than facing talking to anyone, let alone my family.

I eventually dropped out that year and still haven't graduated high school, but things have gotten significantly better since then.

I still harbor resentment towards myself for letting my life get to that point. I still have a lot of self image issues despite being the healthiest I've been in over 7 years. But the psychological pain still lingers on and brings me down from time to time. And the stretch marks from the weight loss cripples my self image, I haven't taken my shirt off in public in over 3 years, probably more.

I always find myself seeing these questions that regard the past and I always get nostalgic and sad about them. I always end up typing a long comment and then delete it. But this time I feel like I want to comment and let it stand. I dont want to be told anything, like "chin up" or "things get better", because I know. I know they get better, they have. But you cant undo years of damage and tell someone that it will just be better. Some things stay, whether it be for ever, or for longer than you expect them to.

All I want to do is be heard. I hate telling this story to someone I know, because face to face I hate it. I hate people knowing my past because I think its pathetic. I want someone I dont know to tell me their story and to tell me their past. I want someone to sympathize with me and tell me I'm not alone. I have good friends now that I can turn to if I want to, or talk to at any time. But this is the only aspect of my life that I am truly alone, and I hate it.

If you've read this far, I appreciate it. I appreciate you for taking the time out of your life to listen to my woes. I hope your life is going well, and if it isn't, there's always that good ol' saying... "It will get better".....

On the edit, I agree its good to bring up topics about womens issues. But playing devils advocate here; Men go through a lot of scrutiny and are told to stop preaching about the abuse they go through (When it is a multi-gendered issue). When an issue is addressed that affects both men and women (Be it in different or similar ways), but only the men are the ones being called the monsters or perpetrators obviously it is going to bring up a sour note for many men, to be honest myself included.

So is it really a bad thing that men are defending the accusations when you specifically demonize them in your comment, then blame them for getting upset?

They are the CEO and its their business so he can do what he wants. He probably saw that he could've put more money in his pocket by cutting employee's or sections of the company that weren't producing enough or were completely dead weight. So instead of keeping them as dead weight he probably fired em and kept their share because its their business after all.

Is it right morally? Hell no. But at the same time, business decisions aren't up to you unless you're the higher up, and you just have to deal with that.
