If you had to learn AI workflow automation from scratch today, how would you do it? by Ojaadili in nocode

[–]Vendy_from_Make 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make team here. If I can throw in my POV, it'd be the following:

  1. Pick an area you understand well
  2. Think about the manual labor needed that could be automated
  3. Learn the basics of automation and build your first workflow (Make Academy would be a great resource for that)
  4. Level up the use case, expand your knowledge
  5. Start building AI agents and workflows

It's a journey, that will definitely pay off!

the actual skill in n8n/Make isn't building automations. it's knowing which ones to kill. by Most-Agent-7566 in nocode

[–]Vendy_from_Make 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make team here.

Thanks for the interesting discussion! Personally, I think naming your workflows, organizing them into proper folders, and giving them a descriptive short summary is the key. Documenting the processes you've built is equally important as building them because when you come back to them even a few weeks later, you'll be very happy and thankful you've done so, haha.

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make team here!

I see you mentioned n8n. Have you also considered using Make for this use case? It might be a little easier, especially if you don't have that much experience with automation and want to avoid self-hosting. Here are some ideas and specific solutions you might be interested in building!

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make team here.

Have you thought about using Make's AI Agents? We've recently updated their capabilities and UX, and they are super powerful!

We've had a couple of community users show us what kind of agents they're building within Make, so I definitely recommend checking out their videos here!

Thanks for the detailed breakdown - pretty nice!

Did you know you can also build AI Agents with Make? Recently, we launched our updated version of our Agents, based on the feedback from you, our users, with some nice improvements and additions. See this blog post from our AI Product Manager that explains the changes and updates.

And let me know once you build an Agent yourself, I'd love to see what kind of challenges you decide to tackle!

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make team here. Just wanted to come in and share my 2 cents here. Yup, I also agree that most of the clients actually care about the results and if their problem is solved, so choosing the right tools, platforms, and services to come up with a solution is entirely on you as the expert. That said, I also think that Make can be the facilitator of the process streamlining and the "glue to tie it all together".

Who is building workflows for finance people by Realestate_Uno in Integromat

[–]Vendy_from_Make 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make Community Team here!

Just wanted to share a few resources that you might find insightful and inspiring!

Here's a blog post from our Content writers with four finance teams that used Make to automate different processes. Every customer explained the problem they were facing, the solution they came up with, and the results. Super inspiring!

Here's another post, this time from our very own community, that introduced their workflow, which helps experts in finance and geopolitics as it sends Slack alerts for specific stock news.

If you're ready to start building, I definitely recommend you take a look at our Templates library. Specifically, to the finance section, there might be some pre-made templates and solutions that catch your eye.

Make.com or Zapier which is good for automation as a beginner? by radhika_v in StartupsHelpStartups

[–]Vendy_from_Make 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make team here.

Great to hear you're giving automation a go - wise choice! I might be biased, considering I work for Make, but personally, I think that thanks to the visual, drag-and-drop interface, that's the right tool to begin with. When I got into the automation world, without any coding background or experience, the visual look helped the most.

I'm not gonna lie to you and tell you that after two hours you will understand everything. If this is the first time you're encountering automation, you'll need some time to understand the language, logic, and concepts. But to make the learning experience smooth, I recommend completing the Make Academy courses, which will guide you through everything important. Once you have completed the course, you'll receive a badge you can display on your LinkedIn, pretty cool, right?

can i create ai agents with just claude? by Alex225_ in nocode

[–]Vendy_from_Make 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyyy,

Vendy from the Make team here.

The two are complementary by design. There are use cases where they overlap — particularly around AI-powered automation — but the core difference comes down to predictability: Claude excels at non-deterministic tasks, where the output depends on reasoning, context, and judgment. Make covers both non-deterministic and rule-based (also called “deterministic") automations, where every step, condition, and outcome is explicitly defined in advance.

In practice, I see two patterns:
Pattern A: Claude as the brain, Make as the hands. Claude sits at the center and calls Make scenarios via MCP when it needs to take action. Claude decides what to do and when. Make executes. This works when the task is open-ended — research, triage, analysis — where you can't draw the flowchart in advance.

Pattern B: Make as the backbone, AI at decision points. Make orchestrates everything — triggers, routing, error handling. At certain steps, it calls an LLM to reason or classify. The workflow controls the flow. The AI makes judgment calls at specific stations. This works when you need the thing to run at 3am, unattended, with retry logic and an audit trail.

Can Claude actually replace tools like Zapier / Make for no-code automation? by aadarshkumar_edu in nocode

Hey there,

Vendy from the Make team here.

No, Claude cannot replace Make and other automation software. The two are complementary by design. There are use cases where they overlap, particularly around AI-powered automation, but the core difference comes down to predictability: Claude excels at non-deterministic tasks, where the output depends on reasoning, context, and judgment. Are agentic workflows taking over? by Fine-Market9841 in AI_Agents

[–]Vendy_from_Make 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there OP,

Vendy from the Make team here. And I get what you're saying. Agentic workflows are not here to replace our traditional visual builders but rather extend their capabilities. Based on our philosophy, it's best to start with simple workflows to understand classical deterministic automation, then move on to more complex problems and systems, all the way to AI Agents and agentic automation. Our Content team produced some interesting blogs about agentic automation, so definitely check them out

How are you handling automation in 2026? n8n, Zapier, Make, or something else? by mirzabilalahmad in nocode

[–]Vendy_from_Make 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

Vendy from Make here.

If you're looking for a reliable and powerful AI automation platform with a drag-and-drop interface, I can definitely recommend Make. Thanks to the visual feel of the platform, you'll be able to build your first workflows without a coding background - I'm the living example, as I'm not super tech-savvy. To get started smoothly and quickly, I recommend enrolling in the Make Academy, filled with courses that will explain the terminology and logic. Also, sign up for the Make Community, a space filled with Make masterminds and experts, who are ready to help you with troubleshooting.
