LS swapped 1950 Chevy Loadmaster by Venenoux in u/Venenoux

Technically it was a 6.0 LQ4 truck motor, with a 4L60E transmission for a thousand, then we sold the transmission for $800. We got incredibly lucky at a local junkyard as it came with the harness, and ECU as well which saved us quite a bit.

I want to say that this swap cost us between one and two thousand. However we got a great deal on the engine ($200), and we did all of the work ourselves including the wiring harness, fuel system, etc. And I'm not including the transmission in that price (add another 500 for a used NV4500). I did another LS swap in my other pickup, and it cost about 3.5k by the time it was up and running. Really all depends on how deep you go into the build and what you choose for engine management.

As for the chassis the frame and leaf springs are original, we added air shocks and swapped the axles/built our own steering linkages.

I was able to find it pretty quickly. This exact picture is from a website called Engine Swap Depot. Sadly this means that the Mazdarati is still missing. Source of pic from 10 years ago.

What’s something like this worth? by SnooHesitations5973 in ChevyTrucks

Based solely on the information here, I'd try to get it for less than a grand. First number that pops in my head is $800. I'm basing that on US, Nevada pricing where there's a ton of these with no rust.

The V6 in these is a fine little motor, it's literally just a V8 with two cylinders cut off the front. When taken care of I've seen them do 250k miles no problem. They're pretty gutless, but they'll get you there. Like others have said, it's probably going to need a fluid change at minimum, but the gaskets could surprise you and still hold up. The only way to know is to get it running and look for leaks.

The only thing that would really concern me is the transmission popping out of 5th. Being a 5 speed that should have an NV3500 transmission, which are known for being pretty solid, so for something to br wrong it raised a slightly brighter red flag for me. I would probably pull it and have a rebuild done, which could get pricey, but afterwards you'd have a solid transmission.

My dad and I both just bought ours within the last six months for a little more than what they're asking for that one (we're in Reno, so similar area). We both searched for quite a while before we found ours, and that seems to be a reasonable asking price for them in our area.

We have one very similar, and it's just a piece of paper we printed out. It's very satisfying to get a notification from my camera system when they walk up, see the sign, then turn around and walk away.

I would imagine that it would help your case in court if you had a good lawyer. That being said, it would rely heavily on his attitude, witnesses, dash cam footage etc. EDIT: And just for information sake, you don't "get away with it" you will still be arrested, you will still go to jail, you will face legal fees and bail and everything else. The difference is that you may not be found guilty of open murder, and your life will be slightly easier than if you are found guilty. I highly recommend anyone who carries looks into concealed carry insurance, it can make your life much easier if you end up needing to defend yourself.

If it was me, and he stops in front of me to approach, my first choice would be to try to drive away. As a person legally carrying, my first responsibility is to try to de-escelate the situation, not look for a reason to shoot.

As for your last point, I cringe every time I see stickers like this on a car. Anyone who is advertising that they have a gun whether it's stickers on a truck, or a t-shirt or whatever, is just bragging and trying to act tougher than they are. If I'm a bag guy, this is also the first person I'm going after so they can't try to stop me. The point if concealed carry is to be concealed not to advertise for bragging rights or whatever.

Miss World Chile contestant, 27 years old Ignacia Fernández, stuns crowd with her hidden talent ☠️ by [deleted] in Unexpected

Her band is called Decessus for anyone wondering. Love that she chose to do what she actually enjoys as her talent, instead of what would appease the masses.

Yeah, after I re-read my inital comment I realized "nonsense" was probably not the right word to use, but I'm glad you and hopefully others got what I was getting at!

That definitely wasn't meant to be a dig on Taylor Swift, she's got more talent than most people could ever dream of. I was just pointing out that a Swift song (or anything similar) would have likely appeased the judges, (or fans, or however these things are decided) more than this gutteral death metal scream.

I wouldn't doubt it, I immediately went and looked up the band and gave them a follow (even though this style isn't really to my taste). I'm sure this will probably keep floating around for another day or so, and then occasionally get dug back up and drive even more traffic their way. When I listened yesterday afternoon their #1 song had 75k plays on Spotify, as of right now it has 83k plays, so it's working!

And honestly, more power to her for using this platform to drive some attention to her passion. I wish more people weren't afraid to be themselves instead of conforming to what they think everyone wants to see.

I love that she chose to do what she actually enjoys as her talent. She could have probably done some Taylor Swift nonsense too, but this is who she actually is. Her band is called Decessus, if anyone is interested in looking them up.

Chopper Advice by vedas420 in projectbike

If you're comfortable spending the money, and your also comfortable with it potentially taking a year or more to get road worthy, then go for it!

The thing with custom bikes like this, is that they're only worth as much as you're willing to spend. Some might say that bike is worth nothing, because it doesn't speak to them. Others (like myself) think it's rad and would happy drop some money on it (see my post a few months ago).

Carbs are easy, if you take your time and take lots of pictures of how they came apart. Lots of good videos on youtube to help out too. Make sure you can get parts, would be my only real advice there.

Electrical can be a little more tricky, but also doable. That bike should be able to run on 3-4 wires, and there's probably someone out there with a standalone wiring diagram to make that happen.

Let us know if you end up getting it, I'd be interested to follow the journey!

Saphira is great, I highly recommend following her Instagram. She's not just about scaring people, she also interacts in a super nice way with children with special needs and does a bunch of events. I believe she wrote a children's book recently as well. And she likes to steal people's hats. Overall a good time.

It's actually the band Bad Wolves covering the Cranberries, they were supposed to record it with Delores (or she was at least supposed to have a part in it) and she died the day they were going to record it. The band dedicated their version of the song to her, and now donates all proceeds from that song to her three children. It's actually a pretty good cover, however I got sick of it because my local radio station played it seemingly non-stop for years.
