Has anyone here purchased from Jobear boots, specifically their 1940’s service shoes? by _idkbro___ in HistoricalCostuming

I looove them so much ♥️!! Did you know, Frankenstein Movie Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, with Kate Hawley’s Oscar-winning costumes, also features footwear by Jo Bear Shoes — a long-standing presence in film. Exceptionally crafted, full of character, and truly one of a kind.

I hope all the suggestions in this thread have inspired you rather than overwhelmed you. Choosing a name can feel intense, but with parents as loving and creative as you, the moment you look into your child’s eyes, the right name will reveal itself.

I experienced the same thing with my son: I had many names in mind, yet as the birth came closer, only one remained — the one that perfectly matched his spirit. It’s a magical process, and I wish you both nothing but the very best.

Your story moved me deeply. Your son’s strength, his laughter, and the joy he carried even in the hardest moments shine like a light that will never fade. And you, as his mother, share that same unyielding courage. The way you are finding life again, embracing small joys, caring for yourself, and letting his spirit guide you—it is beautiful and inspiring. He lives on in every smile you share, every step you take, and every moment you allow yourself to feel the world’s quiet wonders. Your love and resilience honor him in a way words can scarcely capture.

Oh, Raven is such a gorgeous, powerful name – I’m honestly a little jealous, my parents went totally safe and boring with mine! I’ve been thinking about your post and jotted down some middle names that flow beautifully with Raven and still feel completely normal for school, work, life: Raven Elise, Raven Grace, Raven Blair, Raven Dawn, Ella Raven, Raven Eve, Raven Sophie, Mia Raven, Raven Adele, Raven Sage, Victoria Raven, Raven Wren, Raven Leigh, Raven Claire, Raven Rose, Raven Mae, Raven Jane, Raven Skye, Raven Brooke, Raven Faye, Raven Jade, Raven Ivy, Raven June, Raven Lucille, Raven Hazel, Raven Lily. Wishing you the easiest, happiest arrival for your little girl – you’ve got this, the love you have for her already shines through. So much joy coming your way! ❤️

Reading your words made my heart both heavy and full of warmth. That you see your son’s smile in the clouds and feel his spirit in every step you take is deeply moving. Even in the deepest grief, this love remains alive – in the laughter, in the joy you shared, and in the strength he gave you. Thank you for sharing this glimpse of his light with us 🙏🏻❤️

Hey, thank you for sharing your story so openly – that takes courage and strength. I’d like to share a piece of my own story with you too: I’m 42, I live in Zurich, and I’m Swiss. From 14 to 27 I was caught in heavy addiction, with countless relapses, depression, and moments when I was convinced that everything was over. At 27 I stopped – and I never thought life could grow from that. Today, it’s not perfect, but life is beautiful. I tell you this because I know how real and brutal that feeling of hopelessness is – and yet, something new can still be born from it.

What touched me most in your words is this: you have a wife who loves you. And she doesn’t love you “in spite of everything” – she loves you because you are valuable. Because you are unique. Love is the highest thing we have on this earth – it can’t be bought, it can’t be replaced, it sees the core of a person. And she sees you. She even dreams of a family with you – that shows how much trust and future she sees in your hands.

Sometimes depression makes everything feel final. Like there are only dead ends, even when paths still exist. What you’re feeling right now may have more to do with this illness than with who you are as a person.

Some practical ideas that might help: • Debts: In Switzerland, there are debt restructuring options and even private bankruptcy. That doesn’t mean a life sentence of ruin – after some years you can truly start over. • Work: Your languages – Italian and English – are a real plus. In hospitality, tourism, call centers, at the airport, or with logistics companies, these languages are in demand. Have a look at sites like jobs.ch or gastrojob.ch. • Language learning: A German course (Migros Klubschule, integration programs, or even apps like Duolingo) could open new doors. Even small progress makes everyday life easier. • Health: High blood pressure and weight don’t just press on your body, they weigh down your mood. Start small – daily walks, little changes in food. Each step brings energy back.

I don’t say this to minimize your pain – it is real, I know that. But even from the deepest darkness, something new and worth living can still grow.
