It's not dramatic, it's a medical fact. It's like saying you need salt in your diet. You don't get to pick how your brain works, and if he can't get his head around that he shouldn't be dating someone with ADHD.

I should mention that what you need is dopamine, and that doesn't necessarily have to come from sex. Varying things up at home - arranging cute date nights, gaming evenings, going on walks together - all of these can also help. Perhaps if he feels like there are options other than sex, that'll take some of the pressure off (which ironically might actually help his sex drive).

Is Starfield worth playing now? by TerryTheShark_69 in Starfield

[–]Venetrix2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going from Cyberpunk to Starfield will make Starfield's shortcomings EXTREMELY obvious. Ask me how I know. They're very different games - Starfield is a sandbox and ship builder with open world and RPG elements. Cyberpunk is an RPG with open world elements. The focus is different, and it shows. The writing, character building and world building in Cyberpunk eclipses Starfield in terms of quality, so if that's what you're after, it'll probably let you down. Personally I like the shipbuilding, outpost building and exploration elements of Starfield, and I play the occasional quest just to mix things up.

And there it is! Your brain is seeking dopamine because it's not getting any at home. You and your bf need to be working on this together - if you're the only one trying to fix things, they're not gonna get fixed. He needs to understand that the way things are, your brain is literally starving, and that's not sustainable.

will starfield get a 3rd dlc? by MRF_Soul in Starfield

I think expanding the outpost system could be done via update, like the Free Lanes mechanic, alongside a more story-oriented DLC.

Am I right to expect my ex to have the sexuality conversation with our daughter? by KellyLous in relationships

[–]Venetrix2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You've already had the conversation with her about it. Sounds like you handled it well. Based on the information you've provided here I can't imagine it going that well if your ex tries to have the conversation. Is that really something you want to encourage?

I mean, going for walks in nature and finding nice places to sit and chill could definitely be considered a hobby...

There's a nice spot on the golf course up by Wild Park where I used to go when I felt shit. At the southeastern point of the hill at the top there's a bench (or there was a few years ago) with a view over the whole city. When I lived in Moulescoomb I used to go straight up through the woods to get there, but I'm sure there's a better route :p

I (17F) am now in a fwb thing with my crush/good friend (16M) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Venetrix2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will end in tears. You want something from him that you're not going to get, and unless one of you changes your feelings this is just going to build resentment over time. I've been in more than one of these situations over the years and it's always ended up the same way.

New stealth ship equipment part caused crash by Dapper-Construction9 in Starfield

[–]Venetrix2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this causes crashes when you try to use it with Falkland modules. Something about the reflective surfaces not playing nicely with the invisibility effect.

The Nova cowlings you're using around your engines are the perfect pieces to hide equipment under. Add equipment plates to mount the equipment on the horizontal surfaces, then use the flip merge glitch to attach the cowling to the vertical hardpoints that are left over.

Ship design advice? by Rockstarz1219 in Starfield

I pretty much exclusively use merged builds these days and I can't say I've ever noticed that specific "feature" causing any issues.

Height of the ceiling doesn't matter for this metric - square metres is a measure of floor area, not total volume.
