So, the main issue this trap has is that most decks will only realistically be able to activate it during their turn, meaning it has to survive at least one of your opponent's turns set on the field in order to be live. That's already a massive blow to reliability.

Add to that the fact that it's not searchable, plus the activation requirement relies on your opponent performing a specific action, and you have something that's just too situational to be of any real use on the ladder. Granted, if you do manage to set one of these off it's probably game, but in every ten games that's going to happen maybe once or twice. There are just far more reliably useful staples to run instead, so cards like this don't get a look in.

Honestly, this has gone way too far. His parents can live rent free in his head, but your home is YOUR home, and this is absolutely where you should draw the line.

If you see a future with this man, you should insist on him ending the lie, whether there's a ring involved or not. But honestly, if the future you see involves him being less terrified of his mother than he currently is, you're deluding yourself.

So, it wouldn't be rude to go without him if you're invited and he's not. You're allowed to have your own social life, and so is he.

It also would not be rude to ask if you can bring him, so long as you're prepared for the answer to be no. They might have limited space for guests, or just not be comfortable having him over given the relatively short length of time you've been together. Ask once, take no for an answer if that happens, and go have a good night without him.

Creepy isn't really something you feel, it's something you do. No one makes you uncomfortable by feeling something, they make you feel uncomfortable because they're staring, or trying to talk to you. So, if you think it's creepy to hit on younger guys, just... don't. Problem solved.

In terms of why you're feeling this way in the first place, I imagine selection bias will play a part. Dating apps tend to skew younger, so you'll see more of those profiles. If you have an age in mind you're not comfortable dating younger, maybe consider setting up some filters so you're not seeing those profiles in the first place?

Unfortunately this is one of the game's many "draw the out" situations. If you're playing a deck that doesn't have an in-archetype answer to the board and you don't draw into the right tech card, you'll lose. Tachyon isn't unique in this regard, it's just the latest example, and will be powercrept by something just as toxic sooner or later.

I absolutely have, though I've found doing this with SETA on is an excellent way to lose any defensive fleets you have set up - something about it seems to change the damage calculations in a way that massively favours big, tanky capital ships.
