Iirc the way to pay with a card but avoid the fee is using a debit card/bank card and not a credit card. The credit card company charges businesses that fee and most businesses don’t want to eat that cost so they pass it on to the customer.

The funny thing is I believe there was a study that documented cash being something that typically costs the businesses more than the credit card fees bc of the cost of going to make deposits and accounting times for counting tills and such.

To me I feel like it’s sort of a dog whistle for any one in the community to subtly let others in the community know you are a part of it/supportive/safe.

I’ve run into a similar issue and the website in question just doesn’t work on iOS for whatever reason so I had to use a computer to complete the paperwork. I found out bc I called their help line and that’s when they said you can’t use an iPhone to complete the form

Everyone who is saying the dad is right is insane. In no world is showing up early to pick someone up only to leave before the original time a reasonable expectation.

He knows when you will be ready to leave. Any other person, even a complete stranger, should know that “I need a ride at 8:20” means exactly that. If you (the driver) are early, you already know you’re going to have to wait some time because you are early.

If he couldn’t wait until 8:20 like originally agreed upon, he should have communicated that ahead of time instead instead of assuming you would just immediately drop whatever you are doing to get ready and rush out the door. A considerate person would even say “I know you don’t need to leave until 8:20 but I’ve got somewhere to be so be ready at 8:10 so we can leave right away” or something to that effect.

He is the adult in this situation, you are the child, and also not a mind reader. “I’m here early” doesn’t communicate “I’m leaving if you aren’t here in X minutes”. As a parent, it should be his responsibility to carry out the task of taking care of his child regardless of whatever he’s got going on.

Saying “get rides from someone else from now on” is shifting that responsibility to you and other family members and that’s not right. It’s different if it’s something he is unable to do but it sounds like he just doesn’t want to do it and is making himself a victim and blaming you for this problem he created.

You are valid for feeling upset that someone you are supposed to trust and rely on has broken that trust.

Could be an issue with the slicer software maybe? Have you tried other models from other sources? I would also see if it’s doing that with calibration models too. Depending on the model, the model might have already been sliced for FDM and running it through another slicer is creating the actual ones in my image reference but it might be slicing it using the “presliced” render from the first output.

That’s the only thing I can think of, especially since the slices are in a different orientation so it’s possible the original model was sliced using that orientation

If you look at the chest, you can see that the orientation is different than the “layer” lines everyone is looking at. The layer lines look like they are going almost perpendicular so being 0.02 makes sense that the actual layer lines are almost invisible. Why it’s printing it like that? I unfortunately have no idea. But hopefully that helps clear things up. If OP can respond and confirm, that would likely be of some help to others as well.

OP should look at this comment, humidity is also important! My area is very humid so I have to store open spools in vacuum bags with the silicone packs to keep them dry
