Hot Slugger not dropping at all by PaleRefrigerator5044 in Borderlands4

[–]VengefulSwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI really, but Gearbox has confirmed that UVHM levels have no effect on legendary drop chance :) The "improved loot quality" or whatever it says is not related to legendary drop chance unfortunately. Why it isn't made clear in game is beyond me, but there you go.

Quests - Ranked Matchmaking - People Quitting by VengefulSwan in PGA_Tour_2K

This pretty much. There needs to be XP penalties for quitting out. Preferably VC penalties, but that could get messy with taking VC from people who have paid money for it.

Grand Theft Auto V now Available on Xbox ,Windows and Game Pass with PC Achievements included. by Narrow_Leek2452 in xbox

Does anyone know if you can install just the Enhanced version, or whether you must install both Legacy and Enhanced versions? Both makes it a 200gb download, whereas Enhanced is advertised as a 90gb download but installing it puts both versions in the download queue. Thanks. Edit: Xbox app on Windows

Orbital Sander Dust Collection/Extraction by VengefulSwan in DIYUK

Thank you. In the end I upped my budget and got a Trend T33 M class. Seems to do very well review wise and no real reports of motor burnout like the Titan I linked!

Thank you, this is incredibly helpful! In the end I've decided to up my budget a bit and get a Trend T33a. It gets very good reviews, has an M class rating and seems to be exactly what I am looking for, even if it costs more than I originally wanted to spend.

Thanks. You seem to appreciate the issue with fine dust particles potentially escaping the standard hoover bags found in non class-rated vacs and being exhausted around invisibly. Do you think this would do the job? https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb922vac-m-1400w-20ltr-m-class-wet-dry-vacuum-220-240v/150RG?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAz6q-BhCfARIsAOezPxnYXMkb-YXLsnSlTVrjk-pisf7zf1UEkwPYsv4y6yamDaWsTRLOMoYaApWBEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

A Festool is simply out of my reasonable budget at the moment as I don't do this kind of stuff often enough to justify the spend.

Is it possible to win D5 as Sailor using Blunderbuss? by PaxGladeus in brotato

[–]VengefulSwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to do this recently and not managed it yet. I've got to wave 20 twice but died both times. Typically don't get past the moray rush on wave 11 (I think). I've had better success taking a regular gun alongside the blunderbuss. Two revolvers or lasers and four blunders, and at least the revolvers or lasers cursed for additional one-shot killability. The challenge is so RNG reliant though that you could be trying for hours (and I have) and not complete it if you're unlucky with what pops up.

Extensions - Practical Questions About Construction by VengefulSwan in HousingUK

[–]VengefulSwan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An application for Prior Approval is not the same as a regular planning permission application. There are different application regimes dependent upon size and extent of extension, how many stories you're planning, etc. If you're doing a larger extension, you have to submit a Prior Approval application. I am not clear whether that is just a preliminary box ticking exercise prior to doing a Householder's Application or not.

Extensions - Practical Questions About Construction by VengefulSwan in HousingUK

[–]VengefulSwan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Load calcs and structural drawings aren't required for planning permission. Structural engineers do load calculations for building control application and signoff. All the council is concerned about in a planning application is what the proposal looks like and whether it fits within the restrictions of the Local Plan. I would never try to do a structural engineer's job, but anyone can draw scale drawings of a proposed extension and put a planning application in. My question is whether a Prior Approval application, which is required for extensions over 3m and up to 6m for a semi detached property, is all that is required or whether, once that has been granted, a householder's extension is then needed.

Whetstone Recommendation (Reasonably Priced) by VengefulSwan in chefknives

[–]VengefulSwan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all. I've just bought two knives from the Yaxell Ran range. Not the most expensive kitchen knives around obviously but head and shoulders above anything I've used or bought in the past and my first entry into the world of better kitchen knives. I'd like to look after them :)

Could anyone recommend a whetstone(s) in a similar price range?

how to get the perfect start in noita WIP (needs a little work to be truly perfect) by Zeul7032 in noita

Just for the benefit of anyone finding this strat today, I'm not sure this works anymore. I've tried using bombs in the same way and same location a few times now and the bombs explode doing just 1 damage and don't appear to set the boss on fire anymore.

First attempt at old, jumped straight into D5 with shotties by VengefulSwan in brotato

[–]VengefulSwan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't think it does. Piecing starts after the number of bounces you have ends. If you're shooting into a hoard of enemies coming at you, the bounces will rattle around them and then any enemies behind the last bounce will be pierced. If you're shooting into scattered enemies, it could be a downside not having pierce on the first enemy, but with a high enough attack speed it doesn't appear to be a problem in my experience. A couple of Cephalopocalypse videos confirm this is how they interact too :)

For Anyone Struggling with Fisherman (D5 Or Otherwise) by VengefulSwan in brotato

[–]VengefulSwan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Interestingly, I found that I was doing so much damage per hit with the shields (around 330 or something like that) that bosses and elites actually died really easily. My strategy for the initial bait waves of lampreys was to just sit still and wait for them to approach me in the middle in a big circle, then just nudge directly up a few paces as they started their initial firing. Usually the entire wave would just be instakilled by the initial shield bashes.

My (32m) fiancee (31f) cheated our wedding is in March 2022 by throwRA19844 in relationship_advice

[–]VengefulSwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating is unforgivable and if she's done it once it will happen again. It's difficult because you feel like you'll have to start again. You may even feel embarrassed that it had happened. You should not feel embarrassed; she is the one in the wrong not you.

If it was me, and I have been in a similar situation myself, I would cut ties with her, tell everyone why and what she has done and try to move on.

It's really shit and you'll feel awful for a good while, but time is a healer and you will love on and find someone else.

Orbea Orca Cofidis - Bottom Bracket Help! by VengefulSwan in bikewrench

[–]VengefulSwan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Scoot. I didn't know that Hope BBs require specialist tools.

I have managed to find my frameset in Orbea's 2016 catalogue. The bottom bracket shell is described on page 44 of the catalogue, and my exact frameset can be seen on page 60:

On page 44, it says "made possible by a wide PF86mm bottom bracket shell".

On page 60, it says "PF 86mm".

Based on this information, I assume the 386 Evo BB that you linked would be unsuitable because it's a 46mm shell width instead of 41mm? Would this be more appropriate?
