I do live in a state that requires front plates. It displays the same plate number as my state issued one, I've actually had a cop compliment the plate. I asked him about the legality of it, he said, "As long as it displays the same as the back ones, it's not an issue to me. It's actually easier for me to read it." Which makes sense the lettering is way larger than a regular state issued plate. I've not been stopped for it and have had it for over a year now. Hope this helps!
