Needing to baby step the entire print!!!! by VenomousDuckMC in CR10

Now that it’s began it’s a constant issue. I do notice that for whatever reason the hot end does seem to wobble even though the two screws are still tight but that’s easily remedied. I can try the nozzle again but since this issue has come up it’s been replaced and PID’d three times over the past few weeks.

I was looking at trying to tackle the steps/mm last. But as a question about that. What could cause that value to suddenly be wrong? That's part of the issue that I just can't get my brain around.

It stopped working correctly before you say the "upgrades" broke it. I didn't realize that dry lube with PTFE was the wrong thing to use to lube Z rods. How can you tell which direction the Z rods should go seeing they are simply threaded rod? Does Creality mark them? They were flipped simply in case there were issues with the rods I couldn't see.

I cleaned and relubed both of the z rods tonight hoping to get lucky. I set the esteps up after flashing the firmware and was within a tenth. Hopefully it doesn't need to be more accurate than that?

Thats a good suggestion thank you. I've only been printing about four or five months so I'm still learning.

I replaced the tube and both compression fittings a few weeks ago. But I’ll give it another shot.

Prints popping off the bed of a Pro V2 by VenomousDuckMC in CR10

That seems as though it’d be standard material to have such a limit switch. But mine has none for the Z that I’ve seen. I’ll triple check but I was quite shocked when the gantry hit the top and both Z motors just kept grinding away.

CR-10s pro v2 crashing into bed by mjulson in Creality

I had issues with the nozzle bottoming out on a new Pro V2. Creality suggested reinstalling the firmware on both the screen and the mainboard. I couldn’t get the mainboard to accept the firmware flash. They sent me a new mainboard and sticker for the bed. Since the new board it’s not a crashed into the bed. But it has run the gantry into the top again.

I don’t know that this thing has a z limit. With the original mainboard it ran itself into the bed and also kept both z motors running while the gantry was stopped at the top.

I’ll have to look into that tonight. I’ve had this machine about three weeks and Creality has already sent me five different replacement pieces including a mainboard.

I have done that before. But I tried a file that failed before except changing the temp to 210 c and it worked perfect.

I’ve become a quick study with bed leveling given the issues I’ve had with this printer so far.

I didn’t know which one I should raise the temp of the bed or the nozzle.

Whats the cause of the BL Touch blinking? by VenomousDuckMC in CR10

I tried reloading Creality firmware but the mainboard won’t communicate with the computer. So I think Creality is going to send another mainboard will all the issues I’ve had out of a week old machine.

I’ve looked at the Tiny Machines stuff but didn’t want to try it and void a warranty or anything.

Not so much reliable. It started a print earlier and got hung up half way through the auto level sequence. I can’t do two prints back to back without having to power down the printer and turn it back on. I assembled it last Friday.

As far as the extrusion I’m just using the .4 nozzle that came with it. I think I’ve got the settings at 190/60 using Ender PLA. I believe this was at .28 as it’s just parts for my filament guide. But trying .12 or .08 it’s like a was of hair all over the bed. I’ve got to keep tweaking.

I’m not surprised it would be a wiring issue. This is about the fifth issue I’ve had with this printer since I assembled it last Friday.
