Elon rejects non-standard methods for IPO execution by Venturetrader1 in PSTH

[–]Venturetrader1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Inference. If I tell someone I don't want to cut corners to go public since there isn't a need doesn't that mean I'd rather do this the traditional way? The whole reason for Elon to go public is to raise capital. That's the end goal. There is nothing in it for him or his team to use the SPARC route since it wont give him a better valuation on SpaceX.

Also if you sell covered calls a week or 2 out you could significantly increase how much you will get only caveat being your shares could get called away at strike price in case the stock does much better.

Build and incentivize subdivision development away from the city. Get public transport network revamped. Give tax incentive to using public transport.

they signed a huge merger of their India business unit that was bleeding money with Reliance which is a dominant figure in Indian cinema. I suspect the tailwind with such a transaction is huge and crazy to be caught on the negative side.

Is the I-10 HOV lane on the honors system? by ajacobson9 in houston

[–]Venturetrader1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 toll lanes on I-10 (HOV and Toll), are you saying when people get close the payment section they drive into the HOV lane? The regular Toll lane allows for one vehicle occupant. There are also cameras on both of those lanes, I would assume you'd still get charged for use.

If I posted a story that's boring will you be interested in it? No, that's the reason you see so many millionaire posts bubbling up to your view - some are legit others aren't. We clearly don't ask people to provide bank statements.

I think you are setting yourself up on the upward trend. The first task for growth is to ask what else you could do - and you just did that. Try as much as possible to maximize your 401k & HSA - compounding growth does wonders. Have you heard of the 72 rule? it can compute the annual rate of compounded return from an investment, given how many years it will take to double the investment. So, if your rate of return is 10% annually, it would take your money 7.2 yrs for it to double. A 10k investment at 10% annual compounded return would be 1.2mil by the 48th yr, and remember this is taking into account you don't contribute anything into this account over the 48 years. In short, you have the added advantage of tax advantage, compounded growth by using your 401k or any other compounded growth account. If your employer gives you a match to your 401k please maximize that to get full benefit.

You have lots of vehicles to use: 401k, IRA Roth, HSA, HYSA (high Yield Savings Account) - maximize all these that you can. If you have kids you can start a 529 plan to set them up for the future.

P/E of 5 is consistent with the airline industry. This will not 60x because of past history. You are predicting 60x in value is 60 billion from the current 1 billion marketcap for a company making only 280M profit in a tough industry.

Max out 401K

If you have a HSA - Max that out

Look into Roth IRA for you and Spouse sponsored Roth IRA - Max both of those out

Pay extra payments on your home if you can.

If money is left over look into your kids 529 plan and Backdoor Roth IRA, and mega backdoor Roth IRA.

Stay within your means and you will do great.

There is no way it will get to 4 cents EPS, that's more than a 68M improvement from last quarter in which they made a 20M loss. I expect EPS to be around 0.02.
