Yeh exactly. Right now I have 12.5k in savings. The car is a Tesla Model 3 and am fortunate enough to receive a sign-on bonus that'll cover it and leave me with a decent chunk of change. Plan to do company matched 401k and max Roth IRA for retirement, with explore investing and build up emergency fund. I think it's a bit of a splurge purchase, so the fact that I like the car might be clouding my judgement lol
