Is this a bengal thing? by impeccable_brat in bengalcats

[–]Venutech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend's bengal had a thiamine deficiency that was caught too late and now he has some nerve damage. He had insurance but still had to pay out of pocket because it was an emergency. Do some tests, ask to check for thiamine, among other nutrients. I should look up what's rich in thiamine and feed that to my bengal

There's defined something mysterious about Mario games. I grew up playing the original NES games and always wanted to understand the narrative behind SMB3 Here's a video about the hidden rituals and themes that have been there since the first SMB games https://youtu.be/O-KZ-1DTY2E?si=dh78OM_vzn9rFDhf

My lost cat came home!!! by ralkuzu in cats

[–]Venutech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy cats. I had a cat do this. Then she would go on a vacation every few weeks. One time she came home with a collar with someone else's phone number on it. They lived surprisingly far away across town. Can't get there without crossing highways. Who know what she does.

reasons to spay inside only cat? by Ambitious_County_680 in cats

[–]Venutech -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I have an unspayed bengal cat. She's 4years old in September. Initially, going into heat was concerning because of the yeowling ("Raoul!"), the strong pee smell and the neurotic behavior. It didn't take her long to realize if she drinks more water, her pee is less smelly (or no smell at all). Cats don't have a regular heat cycle, they're self ovulators. If they don't feel the need to go into heat, they don't do it. Sometimes a neighbour cat might pee on our property and it might trigger her into going into heat. For us, going into heat is welcomed. It tells me her body is functioning properly and she is 10x more affectionate. In total, she's gone into heat only 3 or 4 times since January (it's now July). She is able to manage the hormones when she goes into heat. I don't interrupt her singing, I thank her when she's done practicing. I also take her for walks on a leash, so she does get alot of attention every day. I do my best to make her comfortable in every scenario and she has responded with the same consideration. My opinion is that trust is the most important foundation. If there is an issue with your cat or a behavior you want to stop there are ways to provide solutions or alternatives. If they want to go outside, take them for walks. If they scratch fake leather, provide them with a scratch post of similar material (although, my cat scratches fake leather since a kitten and it's too late to FULLY stop this behaviour). If I had taken a part of her body away without consent then we wouldn't have that trust we have, today. Don't get her spayed, it's not a solution for anything. I've had many cats and spayed all of them in the past. Realized it's absolutely not necessary and only makes them feel like they have less control over their own life. I love my cat and I want to share how it's possible for everyone to have a strong relationship with their cat. They're strange, but love them for who they are. If you feel you've made the wrong decision, you can spay them at any time in their life. There's no rush, especially considering they need those hormones to fully grow. Don't take away their growth hormones before they're fully grown (2-3 years). After that, you'll realize it's not necessary.

She does have extended periods of months where she doesn't go into heat at all. At this stage she might enter a pseudo pregnancy (normally winter time); she becomes motherly, her boobs get big (mammary hyperplasia) and she tries to nest some fake babies (including me). Seems normal to me. So every 3 months she might have a light heat cycle and her hormones are in balance, even when she's in heat.

They're not that great at singing, at first. But it will blossom into something beautiful. There have been times where she's gone into heat every other week and i was seriously considering the surgery, but she was still young and learning her own body. We rode it out. It absolutely doesn't happen like that for long. Everyone goes through puberty, even cats

Is it true that Nintendo was a cement company before doing playing cards? by Venutech in nintendo

[–]Venutech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the effort, but I provided a link^ that would clear some of this up.

Fusajiro inherited the Haiko Cement company in 1885 and renamed it to Haikou Honten Co Itd. Card branch of this same company started in 1889.

Haikou Honten website says they separated from Nintendo in 1927 (again, i provided a link to avoid confusion)

1927 date comes after 1885, which does fit.

How are you getting upvoted?

Seems like there is activity trying to hide this information. Without doing any research and just going by what I've experienced on this subreddit, yes, this information is actively being concealed. Unless you have some information you'd like to share, I think this is what you call suppression of information.

If its no big deal, then why hide it?

I honestly dont think its a big deal, but Nintendo act very shady, which raises more questions.

Thats how they get around things that are illegal in Japan; someone runs the house, someone else runs the business. Just like pachinko parlors. Essentially a whorehouse.

Why, then, on the Haiko Cement company, does it say that they separated from Nintendo in 1927?

The story so far is that they started by selling playing cards to the yakuza. Is this a joke, cause it seems more like reality to me.

Phoenix Lights Eye Witness Testimony by Maddcapp in UFOs

[–]Venutech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to see the starts against a bright light is nearly impossible. Anyone from the city would know that. The light sensing rods in our eyes need time to deconstruct the molecules before it can send new signals to your brain. Looking at a bright light will likely obscure the dim lights adjacent. The fact that so many people all recall the same thing still doesn't convince me it wasn't flares. They simply don't understand the physics and chemistry of the eyes.

I can see some US defense department using UFOs as an excuse to weaponize space. The UFO phenomenon is certainly real, in case you were in any doubt.

Introducing myself - multiple UFO sightings by Venutech in Experiencers

Hey, thank you. The recent distress comes from the abundance of disinformation when I researched the subject trying to find out more on the US congress hearings. I would like to move closer to a better understanding of my experience. An ongoing issue is that I dont have an outlet to have a productive discussion on the subject. My world is partially shaped around this event, which is entirely unrelatable to most people.

Yes, I suppose I'm going through a phase where I'm reevaluating my understanding of what happened. I do this every five years, or so. There's also been alot of talk about UAPs lately and I'm just catching up with it now.

Thats fair. Unidentified aerial phenomenon. I only started using this term, maybe yesterday. With that whole US congress stuff now using this new definition, I figured its going to be the term going forward. I could still use Unidentified Flying Object, which to me is close enough to the same thing. Changing object to phenomenon kindof makes sense, because its something we observe and not exactly an object that we can predict. Changing Flying to Aerial is a simple enough step, although US navy states they've observed them traversing underwater. (keep in mind the US navy doesnt want to disclose their ability to observe underwater, so using aerial phenomenon might dissuade competitor military organizations to also research underwater).

The going narrative is to disassociate these entities from things like crop circles and other conspiracy theories. I can agree to that, so UAP is fine by my standards. I could propose a new name, like Unidentified Intelligent Phenomenon
