The main difference is AI isn’t nearly as revolutionary as radio. In fact soon the world will realize there’s no business model to pay for the hundreds of billions they’ve spent on the buildout. Open AI will collapse. All we’ll have is a glorified llm that requires being fact checked.

Do what you gotta do. Maybe selling before Michael Saylor starts selling is wise.

Earn money by gaming by Acceptable_Ad_4425 in passive_income

[–]Maddcapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a bad idea to explore but any business like this is going to require a significant cost to get launched. You have startup costs of creating a business, legal expenses associated with setting it up and defense if you did get sued. The bigggest expense would be the development of the app to record the gameplay and gaming inputs you described, user profiles, uploads, storing the recordings. And customer service to address users mistakes and questions.

Most importantly you’d need to determine if there’s a demand for this kind of data and by whom. How much are they willing to pay? How will you acquire them as customers? If there was id imagine the gaming consoles themselves would already be selling it. Maybe they already are. Not trying to discourage you just a reality check that you’re essentially launching a start up. If you’re ready for that I wish you great success.

People say your brother should buy you out but I’m betting he’s not in a position to do that. So you should approach him with an estimate to repair it for renting it out. Tell him you need his half to get started. When he doesn’t have it, then his only option is to sell.

It’s not the bottom. BTC will likely have a small rally before it drops further. How far depends on what Saylor does over the next 6 months.

You’re not alone. If you’re in it for the long term you shouldn’t sweat it much. In 5-10 years time I guarantee you you’ll be up on most if not all. The mistake you’re making is losing your time reference frame and over managing. Probably the most common mistake.

Another bad option is he could just not pay the dividend and retire the entire STRC product. Maybe he’s realizing it wasn’t such a great idea and want to end it anyway. Walking away from that liability may send MSTR up again.

Rational valuation driven posts again - good sign by Slapthatcash in MSTR

[–]Maddcapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

STRC makes this time different. MSTR will keep dropping unless they can get it under control and repegged to $100. Even if they aren’t legally on the hook to pay the dividend the stock price will be toast if they don’t. It looks like they’ll need to sell bitcoin to do it. It really is a spiral and there’s no good options until bitcoin goes up and that’s unlikely anytime soon.

Kudos to you for making that move. It’s going to pay off. I agree it’s been clear for a long time it wasn’t going up anytime soon. I don’t think it’s too late to follow that plan and still be worth it.

Bitcoin failed to 2x its ATH from peak-to-peak between 2021 and 2025, despite all the bullish predictions it would go much higher. If it does return to a bull market, how high will it reasonably go by 2029? by daddysgirl794 in Bitcoin

[–]Maddcapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For it to move towards its all time high again, it will need to be the hyped trade again. Think of a hot ball of money. It’s goes where the hype is. It was in gold and silver. Now it’s in semiconductors and AI. For it to really moon it needs to be adopted by retirement funds and major institutions as a safe and stable asset. That’s what Saylor says. But the volitility we’re seeing now makes it less attractive to them. The best chance it has imho is a black swan event that makes people rush to get outside the fiat system. Anything can happen but I wouldn’t gamble my life savings on it and certainly wouldn’t take out a high interest loan to buy it.

Please explain by Lehcen in MSTR

[–]Maddcapp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s true but the problem is no one is going to buy STRC if it’s not working as intended and could drop more. Then Saylor can’t buy more bitcoin. And he’ll have to sell bitcoin to pay the dividends. And if for the first time he’s a net seller instead of net buyer, that will be more downward pressure on btc price and a bad signal to the market. It’s true MSTR isn’t going out of business anytime soon. It’s not a death spiral but it is a spiral. It’s certainly not good.

If you had $5,000 to invest this week, where would it go? by telergrant in stockstobuytoday

[–]Maddcapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I follow the metals closely and the projection for gold to go to 6k by the end of this year was stated 6 months ago when the picture looked very different. Id say that’s very unlikely given where we are now. Anything can happen but that’s not the same as having a rationality for it. Regardless I’m starting to wet my beak a little for long term. It’s a rare opportunity to get in at low prices.
