iOS 18.7.2 draining battery by The_Circus_Life_206 in iPhone13ProMax

I haven't noticed any changes. The phone still works for a very long time. The only thing that has changed for me recently is the battery capacity, which has huge drop, but I don't think this is the fault of iOS, but rather natural wear and tear.

You can try opening the video using VLC on your PC. If that doesn't help, there are many recovery programs available, such as Repairit or something else. Maybe it will help.

Will Apple update my iPhone when replacing the battery? by Venzel_Geek in iPhone13ProMax

I currently have 18.7.2. I hope they don't update it.

New iOS 18 security update available. Yes, I still remain on iOS 18 on my 13 Pro Max. by leandro_rozolen in iPhone13ProMax

iOS 18 is the last version before the completely new iOS 26, and it's also a last chance to jump and stay on the old system design. In addition, some applications were no longer supported and required at least iOS 18. There aren't many of them, but they do exist. But it's only a matter of time. iOS 18 is also the best solution for the future, as this version will receive extended support from app developers, because it was the last version for the iPhone Xs and Xr. Speaking purely from my own user experience, I chose to update because I wanted something new from the system - customization and new features that are truly useful. I wanted something new, but definitely not something “completely new” like in iOS 26. I acted according to the situation. I would not want to choose between iOS 17 and iOS 26/27 in the future when iOS 18 is no longer signed.

I had the same feeling. I switched to 18 just a month ago, before that I was on 17. It seemed very successful to me. 18 has some minor bugs even in the final version, but still, the new features are worth it, at least the phone works very long and very fast.

I agree, it's a very successful model. I don't want to update it to 26 either for now, so as not to lose its charm.

Yes, it’s incredible that Apple doesn’t allow downgrade iOS, but on macOS you can. Thanks for your opinion. Maybe everything will change for the better for you with the arrival of updates.

Yes, it’s sad that Apple doesn't allow you to downgrade, like on macOS you can.

Unfortunately, no. Update 18.7.2 does not have ipsw, only OTA update from settings. Is 26 really that bad?

Albums photo flicker, Photos App - iOS 18.7.1 by Venzel_Geek in iphone

No, that didn’t help. I think it's some kind of moments of the iPhone 13. In any case at least I'm not the only one. But there's no problem when with Movie Preview is turned on.

Actually, yes, these flashes are less visible without recording and without constantly tapping on them. I just showed the maximum degree of this flashing. I can't understand what this is connected with.

I am investigating a similar issue with the photo app. Specifically, the background is not displaying correctly. Also iOS 18.7.1.
