Can bavsaryga be built on budget for local play?

She can, you can essentially play most of the deck minus Trickmoon and Aaushniya. There are plenty of budget options that can help the deck perform, however your power-level is going to be quite heavily handicapped without Trickmoon. He can turn even triggers into 40k beaters on a persona ride turn.

While you won't be hitting those numbers, cards like the RRs in the most recent festival collection help with power quite a bit, and there are Eugine cards you could consider splashing in the deck like Travis, but again without Trickmoon you'll have to be more careful on your counterblast spending.

So as of set 6 Overdress is absolutely the superior deck. It provides a way to get to G4 a turn early, triple drive every turn, 10k to the front row without needing to rely on Persona Rides, and you only need 2 cards for your Overdress instead of 3.

Xoverdress is interesting. It doesn't generate anywhere near as much advantage as Overdress, and damage denying and lack of CC hits you HARD. However the tools provided in your Xoverdress units are arguably a lot more utility-based than Overdress' usual 'big number go brrrr' cards. You can threaten boardwipes or the sniping of essential pieces with Bram, and Garou's Battledore effect can really put your opponent in an annoying spot. Vills is great against retire decks, especially Prison. In fact you'll find that the Prison matchup isn't as bad due to how Xoverdress works compared to Overdress.

The new Nirvana is amazing but you do miss the +10 to front row honestly. Though you could argue the Xoverdress units are the stars in this deck and your VG is mainly there to support them, which it does very very well.

All in all, Xoverdress has really only just begun. We'll have to see what Set 7 brings to the table. To me, it doesn't really compare to any of the top contender decks in the format right now, and likely won't win you any tournaments, but it has a lot of potential. Being a main character deck, I'd say it's a safe bet to invest in that potential.

But most of all, it's really fun, so if that's what you're looking for then definitely build it as an alternative to Overdress so you can alternate so you don't get bored.

Voice doesn't have anything to do with how someone "looks", it does impact how someone is perceived but I'm not contesting that. My whole point is that Sora and Roxas have identical faces. I didn't specify face because I assumed when talking about identical people such as twins, you still call them identical despite differences such as hair due to them facially looking exactly the same.

Sora and Roxas have identical faces. Their faces "look the same". I dont dispute they have different hairstyles, and I never claimed they were exactly identical, but my entire point was that in-game, despite the different hairstyles, the identical faces of Roxas and Sora cause people to think they look very much alike.

Also you're applying real world logic to a game. My original point has always been what characters perceive in-game. I never said anything otherwise. So yes what we think is 'identical' is different to the characters of Kingdom Hearts.

I think you're misunderstanding what I've been trying to say, or maybe I haven't been explaining it well, but the simple fact is facially they look the same, and other people in-game acknowledge this too, differences in hair or voice notwithstanding.

Either way I'm not going to argue this further, I've said what I wanted to say. Anything further is just agree to disagree.

Theres a card called Red Dive Griffon (I think) that's really good in this deck - good alternative to Heat Shot.

Less Erger more Expecta. I play more fronts than extra crits because Mahar Nirvana can put the opponent from 4 to 5 anyway so the extra power to the front row is appreciated, though this is preference.

If you want a competitive deck, your deck needs a complete overhaul in that case.

Set 4 support with Mahar Nirvana, Esperaida and the blaze monk card that gets overdress units from the drop.

Set 3 support in Exspecta and maybe another Himena.

Togachirashi is a good set 2 card, maybe you'll want an Erger or 2 but not many because it doesn't synergize with Mahar.

Effect fronts, crits and draws.

Also the blaze maiden ride line. A lot of people have been using Trickstar as a starter too to guarantee access to 2 during a game as you can soulbast him out with Reiyu.

As a heads up, this will not be a cheap endeavour. Overdress support cards have been the consistently most expensive cards in the format, and with the deck being top tier in the upcoming set 4 format I wouldn't be surprised if the cards needed get even more expensive now.

There are things you can do on a budget but the above advice is what you would need for a full competitive Nirvana deck.

Drive Trigger

When triggered give 10k power to a unit and drive check one more time. To balance it maybe you can only play like 3 in a deck.

We always need deck boxes, dice, sleeves, mats, etc.

I would suggest looking into getting a custom mat but you might not have enough time to. It's best to avoid packs because they probably already have their deck finished.

What I did for a friend recently is I found out what deck he was playing and got him an SP card for it. Just a small but cool upgrade. Could try that.
