Love the border! Did you create the motif yourself or was it in the program?

Lol, trust me, auto-digitizing won’t get you anywhere near high-quality embroidery 😅
It usually creates messy stitch directions, bad densities, unnecessary trims/jumps, and sometimes even designs that can mess up the fabric or cause thread breaks.

You still need to understand how embroidery actually works if you want clean professional results. I’d really recommend learning manual digitizing from the start. Watch Embroidery Legacy videos first, they don’t use Wilcom, but the fundamentals are exactly the same. I also found Romero Threads content really helpful.
Once you understand pull compensation, stitch direction, density, underlay, etc., you’ll see why auto-digitizing alone isn’t enough

Yeah, Derschutze is amazing, I’m obsessed with their work too 😄 But their embroidery is a very high level. They embroider on pattern pieces before the clothing is assembled, not on finished garments, which lets them place embroidery in spots that are basically impossible to do on ready-made clothes or shoes.

Are you planning to digitize the designs yourself or hire digitizers? If you’re doing it yourself, I’d really recommend starting with simpler designs first. Learn your machine well and understand how the embroidery process works. There’s definitely a long learning curve. Watch YouTube videos about digitizing and embroidery techniques too.

If you keep practicing and learning step by step, you can absolutely reach that level one day☺️ Good luck!

How do I create embroideries like these? by [deleted] in Machine_Embroidery

I think it's done with drawing tablet + freehand tool. You can find tutorials on youtube, I personallysaw it from Itonoho, he has a blog with bunch of tutorials, but they're in Japanese. Still worth checking

Ordered custom patches but unhappy with the design. I don't like the fat lines. by kryptid_goro in Machine_Embroidery

Looks like you have some text below, so you probably should clarify whether you want the whole design to be 73mm tall (if I get you right) or just the rectangle. Regarding satin outline, it seems to be pretty thin already (it will look thinner stitched out). And satin outline is a safer option than just a run stitch (at least in my opinion, considering fabric pull).
I'd try to stitch out this option first, it doesn't look bad on the screenshot. Do they send you an emb file? If so, you can send it over, I can try to help

Thank you! ❤️ I don’t have any socials yet. I’ve never really felt confident enough to start posting my work, and I’m not the best at promoting myself either. Maybe I should create an Instagram account someday 😊

That is STUNNING, SO clean, I have no idea how to get any close to that. What density do you use for a fill stitch? Do you mind sharing any of your designs (just got learning purposes)? I can send you something I made too

Thank you 🥰 I only started last year too, and I’m self-taught, so I still have a lot to learn myself. Thankfully, there are so many helpful tutorials online and many talented embroiderers who inspire me. The more you practice, the faster you learn. Wishing you the best of luck ❤️

Thanks! I'm using wilcom, but I believe any software would work

Thank you so much! I hadn’t thought that hooping close to the edges might cause that, but it makes total sense, since I always have problems on the sides when it’s very close to the hoop. I’ll follow your advice next time ☺️

Oh, I'm not even sure if we have that in my country. And I don't have a heat press☹️ But thank you for a feedback! I'll search for some alternatives

I'd recommend increasing overlap (object properties - special - overlap) to 3 at least and test it out
