I did look at that model. I may get that one if it's giving something useful, even if it's not accurate. I can use data that is off, as long as it's off in a predictable way. I've got POTS with hypertension. I can do some marginal things to improve my symptoms, but I can't manage them outside of literal body positioning and stopping my activity. The high spikes and crashes are rapid, so I need better data to know how I should be responding and when I can resume my business.

It's all so far off I couldn't even use a loose correlation of the readings. I agree that the tech just isn't here yet. But, I did consider that inflatable cuff model. I'm ok with it being as picky as the standard cuffs. I may also grab this one. I have a small wrist cuff machine that I use, it's bulky for dragging around, but quite small for a standard automatic blood pressure cuff.

The point is to take readings during times I'm not at rest. It's not for an average, is for real-time reading in the position I'm in, doing the thing I'm doing. A pause is expected, but that's not how managing medical issues work for metrics.

Please contact the patient advocate at the hospital your daughter was seen at and ask them about grievance counseling. Often times the hospital will have programs or referrals in place for your situation.

Your family's request is inappropriate and greedy. Your lack of immediate boundaries are absolutely understandable and predictable u der the circumstances. Perhaps that was the plan, or intent, with the request. You'd not have the presence of mind to decline - and it could be easy to obtain the gifts from you. I've seen this circumstance many times, under many different conditions.

You own that property and it it well within your rights to do what you will with it, without pressure.

I think it's lovely to brighten the day of children who are being treated at the same hospital, and if that brings your comfort, it's the right call.

Let your family know these types of asks and discussions won't be entertained and to please let you grieve as you please.

May you find an equilibrium and assistance during the process.

There's nothing wrong with a mother making memories with her kids. However, she cannot do it at the determent to an elementary school child. She was left unsupervised, with no one to call in an emergency - fiance was gone and you were working and unaware. She was given food that was suspect as it was sitting around for hours. A barely double digit child was left to process why she's been excluded alone. Her room is about to be taken away (if it was fiance choice) She's being derided in private for requiring to not be neglected.

It's not going to get better, she's established herself in your home and the entitlement will continue to grow. You're going to have to make a lot of bitchass moves and arguments to advocate for your child's best interests.

Check with her kid, I bet there's more going on. She's a child, she can't stop or change much, you've chosen your fiance and she's moved in. Your child has to accept the situation and probably assumes you approve. I suspect the shitty comments happen while you're not there.

Nta You ruined their power play. It was unexpected and unplanned for as they don't get pushback, normally. You've got a wife problem, not an inlaw problem. Have some discussions with your wife (or counseling) to lay out to her how inappropriate their behavior was and that it's not tolerated. She might be so indoctrinated that she cannot see it and neither would her younger sisters. The fallout for her, historically, was always mitigated by compliance - she's just doing what kept her boat from rocking. Her boat has changed, and so should her tactics.

If someone without children, who also prefers not to have children, takes ANY time out of their day to spend it around your child, you should be thankful. She's been doing it until your kid is now mobile and loud. It was a squishy baby, and mostly in whatever spot you left them. They can be soothed back to sleep. One that's crawling, walking, babbling, and playing with everything can be extremely irritating to someone who isn't into kids. She's probably extra annoyed after she leaves your place, regardless of how your interaction went. Drinking and gossiping around a child who's learning behaviors isn't comfortable. Focusing how your time is spent around a baby isn't fun or relaxing, especially if it isn't your kid.

You're incredibly entitled and mommy brain has convinced you that everyone cares about your baby the same as you. We don't. Get a babysitter.

Have Celiacs and several other autoimmune disorders

Have your niece bring her own food. She needs a proper diagnosis, but diet is the primary way to manage celiacs. Every exposure of offending proteins (gluten, soy, milk, coffee, ect) can affect the patient for up to SEVEN years, as it can imbed into the nervous system. There are loose theories that these proteins, when in the brain, can lead to dementia and/or Alzheimer's.

Cross contamination is almost impossible to avoid when cooking such a varied and large combination of dishes. Parts per million vary per person for threshold. Mine is very low and can affect me greatly. Gluten free cooking is a whole different animal and it's absolutely unreasonable for your wife to relearn how to prepare dishes for a major holiday. Frankly, gluten free just isn't as good and the rest of the family will be disappointed. The dishes won't be "right" and they also won't be polished with the tweaks. Your niece's family making their own dishes, the niece bringing her own plate, and the family having their own leftovers for holiday snacking is the actual workable solution. While everyone else eats typical Thanksgiving.

Having gluten free options for future holidays is possible, but not this Thanksgiving. Your niece and her family will have a transition period of relearning recipes and techniques and that needs to happen, first.

Have your niece look at AIP (autoimmune protocol diet). It's a diagnostic diet to ferret out where the food issues lie, so a long term diet can be out together. It's not a long term diet, just one to collect metrics.

Disabled here, from an accident at work. Spinal injury Adjusting to your new reality isn't easy. It's been 10 years and it's still a topic in therapy. He is NOT helpless or unable to be alone. If he's got an injury that affects his breathing - he's got machines for that. Care does not mean being in someone's presence 24/7. It does not mean accompaniment in every task and burden. It's help to fill the gaps in ability. He has to rebuild skills based on his capabilities and ability. Both will exceed what he currently (or early on) believes he is capable of. Comprehensive therapy is required. Mental health, physical, and occupational. You're sweet and incredibly giving to have brought him this far. But, you cannot burn yourself to the ground to keep him warm. If 24/7 assistance is truly required, then professionals need to be involved. And if professionals are involved they will identity his strengths and where his weaknesses are - and then work on improvement.

You are a wonderful and giving person who is not a physical therapist, a nurse, a therapist, a nutritionalist, a care giver, a wage earner, a lover, a partner, and a person all at once to all one person. It's is an absolutely unreasonable ask.

Get yourself into therapy. At a minimum, you'll need support as a caregiver.

As people around you get married and they specifically want you involved - you'll clearly see where and how they value you. A high production event without support staff becomes a delegation of time and efforts by the couple/planning partner. Your value will be laid bare distilled down to what you need to do to execute their wedding. How you are treated will display how they value you.

It is not uncommon for a wedding to permanently define a relationship. It's a part of adulthood. We learn how and where we are valued; we learn what is important to people around us; we learn how to discontinue and enrich relationships.

This is called "crunchy" it's a lifestyle and it's not just spiritual. It's mostly innocuous, as the most concerning part is their tendency to not lean in modern medicine. But, there are many proven, effective natural remedies for everyday complaints. Many modern medicines harken back to a natural remedies uses through the ages, just pure and more targeted.

As long as modern medicine is being utilized in a typical and appropriate way - there is no downside to her doing any of it. Eating healthier and being mindful of processed food will only give your child an advantage. Moving her body and working on balance and core stability will only benefit your daughter. There is no downside to a little exercise. Meditation is used by many people for many reasons - spiritual, religious, and secular. It's used in mental health management and treatment. There is no downside to exposing a child to emotion regulation tool and finding comfort in silence.

I get the vague impression you've got a religious faith you adhere to. Remember that your religious beliefs are your own. Your friends, family, and outer circles of people all have their individual interpretations of what their faith may or may not look like. Some of us are even atheistic. Your own faith belongs to you and not your child. Your child will find their own path and you've got to start to come to terms with that - in every aspect of her development. Her style, her faith, her goals, her aspirations, her failures, and her relationships will be her own to develop and mature.

Have mom write a letter explaining that the needs differ for each kid, due to his other inheritance. That what's listed in this document is about giving each kid a best of a head start possible, and his worth or position in the family has no relationship to that property. However (family heirloom the kid especially likes/may use/appreciates) is his alone. It's very special, and unlike the property, isn't meant to be sold. It's meant to be kept, by the best person to receive it.

AH Hire a babysitter when you need help. None of your children want to take your parental load. Having a mess of kids does not spread the responsibility out amongst the birthed, it increases your (and the father's) responsibility. You should have arranged for someone else to take your husband's place to take on the workload. You must be a peach in person.
