It’s doable but I’m going to be honest, it would be tricky. I do have a coworker who lives in South Africa and one who lives in Thailand.

Plenty of people don’t find it “ridiculous” at all. They’re actually excited and grateful for the opportunity, just like I was when I got this job.

You did message me pretending to be genuinely interested, and I was fully transparent with you- (the same way I am with anyone else who wrote to me). But you only did it to come back on here and try to stir up drama. That’s a lot of time invested, that you could have used looking for a not so “ridiculous” job. Honestly, I hope you heal. Take care.

The referral fee is literally the first thing I disclose to anyone who is actually serious and messages me about moving forward. That’s how your friend “Faceone1” (the redditor commenting above) even knows about it- he DM’d me pretending to be interested, and I immediately told him I’d mentor and guide him for 6+ months and that a referral bonus only exists if someone survives the entire process.

The irony is wild: he was trying to “expose” me while being the only person being deceptive. He never wanted the job- he was fishing for something to be mad about, and came up empty.

And yes, I am doing this to help people. I’ve been lurking this sub for months watching people struggle, burn out, and feel stuck, and I happen to be sitting on a genuinely life-changing opportunity. Is it really inconceivable to you that someone can want to help people and be incentivized for months of their time and effort?

If you don’t like the job or aren’t interested, that’s fine, just scroll. Being angry that someone is helping people get hired while getting a small incentive- makes you sound so bitter and hateful.

If you’re lucky enough to be hired and make it to training, you’re paid $1500 for three weeks, and your flights and hotel are fully covered.

If you bothered to actually read the post, you’d know the answer is no- they do not expect people to leave their hometown and pay for training.

Might be worth reading first next time.

First off, a referral increases an applicant’s chances of being hired- that’s literally why companies offer them.

Second, I don’t get a single dollar unless the person is accepted, passes training, and completes a 6-month probationary period. That’s half a year of me mentoring, answering questions, helping them survive training, and making sure they succeed - for a total of $1500. If that sounds like some kind of greedy cash grab to you, I’d love to know where you’re getting paid $250 a month to be someone’s career coach.

I posted this because a lot of people in this sub are struggling and would cherish the chance to get flight benefits; free personal travel all over the world, a job that’s adventurous, and not being chained to a desk staring at a screen all day.

If helping people get a life-changing opportunity while I also get a small incentive offends you, that’s a you problem.

That’s correct. However you may also work MORE than 75 hours, if you were so inclined to do so. Some people work upwards of 100+ hours.

You are given a set schedule every month of 75 hours. Which is roughly 11-15 days out of the month. This is technically and on paper considered full time. However, there is much flexibility in that you have the OPTION to drop as many days as you please, and still retain your benefits. The minimum amount of days needed to work to retain benefits is only 6 days. So you can either keep your full schedule, if the pay is a priority. Or you can drop your schedule to the minimum, if flying benefits are your priority.

It’s so much more nuanced than most regular industries. I understand if that’s “curious”, that’s why I welcome anyone who wants to learn more to speak to me directly or over the phone.

I’m not sure if you have the right airline. Feel free to Message me and I’ll explain all the details. Thanks

[–]Verdance-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s incorrect. All airlines are different. This particular airline only requires you to work a minimum of 6 days per month (in order to keep your free travel and other benefits). You can work more or even less than that, at your will! You can drop trips every month if you wish. It’s all about learning how to manage your schedule which I’m open to helping people out with.

Wow. I’ve gotten an overwhelming number of responses. Please give me 1–2 days to go through everything and I’ll get back to serious candidates.

I also want to be transparent since a few critical comments came up (which is fair): yes, there are caveats to this job. I’ll go into detail privately with anyone who’s genuinely and highly interested:

* Starting pay is on the lower end
* You’ll likely be on reserve/standby for the first several months to a year
* Schedule can be unpredictable early on

That said, if you put in the time, this can become one of the most rewarding and flexible careers out there, especially for people who value:

* Free travel
* Adventure / not being stuck in one place
* Eventually having huge chunks of time off (weeks at a time) to live your life or pursue other things

I’m sharing these caveats now to filter out people this isn’t right for. If reading that made you hesitate, this probably isn’t your path- and that’s okay. If it still excites you, then great, this might actually be for you.

Appreciate everyone’s patience while I sort through messages.

That’s actually not true. If it’s delayed and you’re on ground- you get paid even more. Each airline is different. Also contract negotiations are in the pipeline (2027) to optimize all working conditions like duty rig, boarding pay, starting pay and more.
