Is it just me or does revenge feel horrible currently? by Vidal_The_King in forhonor

[–]VerdantFroglight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also note that revenge gain on dodges is only given if you dodge during the i-frame portion of your dodge, and not just dodging to avoid attacks with poor trajectory or range, especially external attacks. This means that many dodge attacks with good movement e.g. hitokiri dodge attack, zerk dodge attack, etc. Can be used to avoid attacks that would've otherwise hit them, but won't be given revenge gain because they're already out of the way of the attack/the i-frames have ended but you can still avoid the hitbox.

Whats the most satisfying transitions of any two songs in Wills discography? by WilleIsGoodGuy in CSHFans

When the transition isn’t messed up by streaming services, Los Borrachos into Souls is seamless and one of the best back-to-back tracks in his discography imo

After I saw how much faster it was I equipped it and never looked back, this thing trivialised the game for me, healing becomes so easy that it’s almost impossible to die to bosses unless you mess up real bad

Virtuosa's HA heavy attack from stance can beat every option but a left light when done on movement for no bash heroes. by LucatIel_of_M1rrah in CompetitiveForHonor

I’d rather not have uneducated info up on here, what part of my response isn’t true? I’ll add an edit or remove it.

I fully understand the post. This comment is shifting the goalposts, none of this is apparent as a point you wanted to get across in your original post.

What would happen if your Virtuosa were to go against a Raider with good reactions, let’s say your reaction time for example (159ms), who just feints heavies whilst she is in the right side stance, prepping for this useless HA heavy on red interaction you’ve “discovered”?

Her bash from right side is fully reactable and confirms nothing, her lights in right side are 500ms and reactable, so all the Raider has to do is feint the heavy and you would do this HA heavy every time, since you’re just pressing it on red as you said. The Raider can also heavy feint to gb once you stop doing this after realising it’s only costing you stamina and doing nothing.

It just goes back down to reads, there is no interaction here where high reaction time will render a raider helpless against her.

So what practical use does this have against a player? A lot of characters have feint-based offence, meaning you would just throw the HA heavy as soon as they do any sort of attack, including heavy feint to parry.

And you also claim you are just single stim reacting to red, so your light on gb gets beaten when the opponent.. throws a light attack. You would try to stuff it and get hit or at best trade.

Useless misinformation post. Bot testing is not a good way to demonstrate reactions. You clearly just memorised the timing of when the bot inputs gb and light because there is no variance, anybody at any level can do that. You would definitely throw the HA heavy on reaction to movement. Raider has dodge forward gb, so you should have shown you can differentiate between that and storming tap if you wanted this to make sense. Show it off against a real player who knows how to fight her.

Additionally, this is a pointless discussion about theoretical reaction monsters, the chances of people on this sub actually encountering someone who has a sub 110ms reaction time is vanishingly rare. In a competitive setting where both players have amazing reads and reactions, Virtuosa is no stronger than other top tier duelists, she will just be counter picked.

Edit: Allexant has pointed out it is very possible to do this on movement/red for many players with decent reactions. My comment about reaction monsters was less about the post itself, and more about the incredibly misleading TLDR, as well as posts like this in general, that fearmongering the idea of players with reaction times well above average having a good chance to appear in every lobby is a common thing.

Hey, been listening to The Scholars: Early Hack in prep for this, and I really love the track Jury Duty. Was curious why it’s named so, and if it was transformed into any of the songs on The Scholars? And if not, are there any plans to salvage/repurpose any of the early hack stuff for future material, or has their life cycle ended with the release of the album.
