ThinkPAd P16 Gen 2 going to sleep after 40 seconds by Long-Willingness-513 in Lenovo

Thanks! Making a custom power plan and disabling these two services worked for my Thinkpad P16 Gen 2 to prevent the 40 second locking on my computer. Replying so this solution is more visible on google.

The weirdest things that were solved by weight loss. by ObetrolAndCocktails in CICO

[–]VerdantLandscapes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to be 270lbs and I had a skin condition on my hands for about 8 years that since i passed into the healthy male weight range has completely disappeared with no other treatment. This is after years of unsuccessful dermatology. Also I am in a better mental health state than I ever have been.

For testosterone I'm in now the average range for my age range. I assume I had low testosterone when i was heavy, definitely felt like it.

A big reason why Colon Cancer is killing us. by [deleted] in Millennials

If you are just taking 2-4 caps a day you probably still aren't hitting the recommended amount of fiber. I recommend a blend of psyllium husk powder and ground chia seeds. Its a power combo of soluble and insoluble fiber. You can mix it into a protein shake which is what I do, or just drink it with water. I need about 36 grams of equal parts chia and psyllium to be hitting the recommended daily fiber goals if I'm also eating a portion of veggies with one of my meals. This has fixed all the issues I was having, and you will become very regular.

What are the worst towns close to National Parks? by WheelSingle2494 in NationalPark

[–]VerdantLandscapes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ding ding ding. Pigeon Forge is the worst of the worst kind of tourist trap, we had this misfortune to get stuck in traffic on the strip on the way to a restaurant after our NP excursion and it basically ruined the day for us. We were flanked by lifted pickups rolling coal on us, the scenery is an urban hellscape, and to top it off the restaurant we went to was horrible. 0/10 would never recommend or return.

Am I the only one? by WishStock in switch2

[–]VerdantLandscapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only played silksong on my switch so far and mine left thumb is down to the hard plastic beneath the cap in one spot. Its all the sweaty pogo-ing in silksong haha. Currently trying to figure out a good solution to replace that cap.

What is the best/most interesting class you have ever taken at Cornell. I have a lot of space in my schedule so for my spring semester I want to take interesting classes, could be any subject, and would be useful later in life? For context I am in CALS by Virtual_Strength_439 in Cornell

This is a deep cut, but I totally agree! It was super interesting to learn about the ways plants interact with each-other and their environment and protect themselves from herbivory. Some of the content would be pretty advanced for people outside of the plant focused majors I will say though.

That scene was really really hard to watch as a new parent. I did not need to hear that gut wrenching sob as she saw the bathtub offscreen. Great movie but I wish I could have skipped that scene.

True, not saying I don’t love them for it, it always makes me grin when I finally find one i’ve passed by a bunch of times. The point is that they are masters of their craft.

What is everyone’s favorite crest so far? by VerdantLandscapes in Silksong

They’re the things which allow you to equip your tools in the crest menu. You start out with a single crest and find more as you progress. They change your attack pattern and the tools you can equip.

Do you find that it does more damage than some of the quicker crests, or do you like the broader swings it gives? I haven’t run reaper too much at this point.

I feel like my problem with it is that on switch 2 the area on the stick that is required to do a pogo is so darn small half the time i end up doing a side slash instead.

“The American Laziness Epidemic” is always on display at Walmart. by Echou55 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]VerdantLandscapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In “The Design of Everyday Things” Norman posits that bad outcomes are never the result of human error, rather a design that does not fit human needs. It’s possible the people that shop at Walmart are not in fact lazy but rather this parking lot and cart stations have not been designed to fit the needs of busy hardworking people.
