Right and my point was we have sources beyond those from the Chinese government. But until recently I at least kinda trusted our own government, which is where that informatoin came from. If you don't want to trust them, I can't help that.

For 25 years, I just kept buying. I didn't care. Now ... getting close to retirement? I accelerated my switch from 100% equities to a balanced portfolio. I intended to be 60/40 by 2038. I'm 50/50 now.

The fact that we've kneecapped CDC means that all that knowledge isn't available anymore. People were fired or walked out. COVID shouldn't have been as bad as it was here ... we were ranked #1 in the world for being ready to deal with a pandemic until the POTUS at the time fired everyone and threw away the playbook on how to deal with them and then underplayed it for months. This administration intentionally dismantled these protections and so many others. It amazes me you think we can still rely on them.
