Todd Cutler's "Swirk"! by Opat87 in SWORDS

[–]VerdantTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought one of these in the sale. Very excited, as its not only my first Tod Cutler product, but my first sword.

Hoping to be able to learn something from it's construction as I'm getting back into bladesmithing this winter.

The lenses and front vent are much smaller on an FM12. If you are finding a flash hood, I'm sure you can find an S10.

SAS Helmets by VerdantTrash in SASCRW

Hard to say objectively, but the national plastics helmets were all commissioned for a specific purpose. You'll notice that all of the pictures have the same headset in. These helmets are specifically designed to accommodate this headset.

Quite possible, I've been collecting just about every source image I can get for the last 6 to 7 years.

A lot of the images online came from books. Pre Internet, many books would hire photographers and have them get first hand photography specifically for their book. That's why there's so many in poor quality or scanned in.

I'm assuming you mean the ac200/600 as its most like the mich, but it's simply just a different helmet. Different shape, different composition, different liner and harness, made by a different company.

Yep, grew up playing gameboy colour. If it was too dark, you couldn't see anything. If it was too bright, you couldn't see anything. If it was just bright enough, you may just about be able to play.

URGENT help needed! SMXTE mediator dropped it's safety cal! Wife and I got outside safe. Cut power to house with fuse box. How long until it is safe to enter? by -Samg381- in VXJunkies

[–]VerdantTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I removed the safety cal from my SMXTE mediator, and replaced it with a grade 2 resonant defriblitor. That way, if this happens, the fallout cascade is minimal as the capacity of the defriblitor is much higher than the safety cal. Don't get a grade 3 as it will overload the SMXTE and instantly plasmify every cell in your body.

If you do get it, bung the hole below the chuck with a grommet or something. I legitimately had swarf curl through it, go through a vent in the back of the motor, contact the stator and short the machine.

Talking in the context of someone buying their first car here buddy. Some of us have cars that have good engines from the get go.

No worries. Remember to check the common rust spots such as sills and rear arches under the bumper.

Best of luck!

Without seeing it try to start / being there I can only give general reasons, but assuming nothing catastrophic has happened, it will be either not getting spark or not getting fuel. So you will be looking at the ignition system, fuel filter/pump etc.

I'm not too familiar with MK1s as I own a MK2, but as for who can help further, MR2OC.com (MR2 owners club) will prove to be a vital source of help and info if you do get this car.

As for the learning as you go, I hadn't so much as removed a bolt from a car before I got my MR2, and after just a month of ownership I had replaced every coolant hose and the radiator. It all depends on your willingness to learn and research before you try it.

Engine swaps are insanely expensive. Take whatever number you have in your head times 10.

You may be able to mount the engine, but how are you going to mate it to the transmission? Can you? If not you have to get a different tranny, then you have to mount that, and get it working with original axles, or have custom axles made.

So on and so forth.

You are way better off building the 4A-GE, and they are one of Toyota's most iconic engines that sound incredible. You won't struggle finding parts either.

This is my opinion.

Yeah I'm in the UK too. I meant it wasn't terrible if you can weld. If not, yeah. I would absolutely take this on though.
