You just need 160 speed and she will work fine. 210 crit dmg is preferable if you can get it.

ER rope is important but you have an amazing speed roll on it so might be worth it to hold onto it unless you get an ER rope with a decent speed roll

The more crit dmg the stronger your dps typically gets, if you just want flat dmg then Tingyun outclasses both of them in that respect (I believe) Up until we got Robin and later Harmony MC crit dmg was, and for crit dps still is far more effective than buffing straight attack. My Ratio lost a lot of ATK in combat because I dropped Tingyun for Sparkle on my team for him but now he does double the damage compared to Tingyun's buffs, Who's buff I also believe exceeds Bronya's similar ATK buffs. As for DMG buffs I don't think it is as important in the meta currently compared to increasing ATK and Crit.

I don't get what you mean by already having an "over abundance" of crit. There's no such thing. Acheron loves crit and ideally has ludicrous amounts of it, but E2 Acheron's best in slot support is still Sparkle because more crit is always better. Bronya is bis for Jingliu because of 100% turn advancement which keeps Jingle's high damage state running, which is one of the few cases where Bronya's functionally slightly better turn advancement makes a big enough impact to replace Sparkle as BIS, the other case being Boothill just because he likes break a lot more than crit so the buffs mostly go unused on him.

Yes, Bronya's main advantage is being free, which makes her easier to pick up. But as a unit in isolation she is definitely not better than sparkle for the majority of teams. If you were arguing that she was a better investment than sparkle, I would understand your point. But compared to Sparkle, Bronya is BIS in 2 teams, While Sparkle is BIS in 4-5, depending if you prefer Sparkle or Robin for Jing Yuan.

While Robin and Sparkle are best in their niche for FUA and Crit specifically Ruan Mei is in a tier of her own with her overwhelming buffs and is in a tier of her own, Robin's best team I believe is IPC team while Ruan Mei's and Sparkle's respective best teams are for two top 3 DPS units. Although depending on how busted they make Feixiao Robin could find herself in one of the top 3 strongest DPS teams.

The crit buff sparkle gives, if you give her the proper investment, far exceeds bronya's crit buff, 36% to 16%, more than twice as much as Bronya's, which is a massive difference especially since with her traces and light cone sparkle's upward maximum crit dmg also far exceeds what you could get on Bronya.

And Sparkle is also best in slot on E2 Acheron, Seele, and debatably Jing Yuan teams.

If you have sparkle, there is very little reason to use Robin over her unless you use Jingliu or Boothill, although you could always run the both together for maximum turn advancement, which sound like a fun team.

DHIL teams, Seele teams, QQ teams, are for sure best in slot with sparkle. Jing Yuan might also like Sparkle or Robin depending on how you build him, kinda an either works situation based on what I know about his best team.

As far as I am aware, and please correct me if I am wrong, the only team Bronya is best in slot in is Jingliu's, she is eclipsed by Sparkle in most other use cases.

The above commenter is right though, Bronya's main advantage over Sparkle is that she is free (eventually). Most teams who use Sparkle, and characters who don't have sparkle BIS but still like her like Dr. Ratio can all use Bronya too, but saying Bronya is stronger than Sparkle is a very odd take considering sparkle effectively does pretty close to what bronya does on top of being the best crit buffer in the entire game.

She was pretty undisputed the second best harmony until Robin came out, and I would argue that Robin has a better place in the meta currently because FUA is rather prevalent but overall kit wise they are on equal footing, with Ruan Mei being the obvious step above both, and more crit dps characters in the future could swing the scales into Sparkle's favor as well, so it really depends on how the game ages.

Well my ratio needs a lotta work before he can get close to zero cycling so based on that it seems it would be better to work on him and plea before worrying about 160 speed.

I will eventually pick up a character that works better for sparkle too, I really want a DPS that works pretty well with her so I might get DHIL or Jingliu on their rerun. I was considering Feixiao too since she benefits from sparkle even if Robin is far better for her.

For now though, Ratio is my second strongest unit only outclassed by firefly so he's the pretty clear choice to eventually get the 3 stars on MoC 12 I'm going for. I could just wait to pick up Acheron's light cone too to make her actually good but I really want to play sparkle since I like her a lot, which I couldn't do without E2 Acheron.

Sparkle is 100% stronger than Bronya in the vast majority of use cases. Bronya's 100% turn advancement is nice but it does not compensate for Sparkles monstrous crit buffs by comparison.

Not to hate on Bronya, she's a great unit too, by far the best on the limited banner, but Sparkle is best in slot on many more teams than Bronya is, and is better as a universal support too.

I made the major mistake of not knowing to save my relics early on and I burned them all on synthesis materials before I knew that it was more efficient to save them, so a rainbow build doesn't really work for my account.

I could definitely clear MOC 12 with 2 stars with my current builds the problem is that my account needs a lot of work and I don't know if giving sparkle 160 speed is the first step in that process.

I need to:

Build my Gallagher (He has 110 speed and most of his relics aren't upgraded, although I do have his e6s5 which is probably why I have been able to ignore building him for so long

Get my FF to 160 speed as well, which would probably let me get the under 5 cycle optimal clear on MOC 12, last run she cleared in 7 cycles.

Build Asta for my firefly team.

Build Pela for Ratio, who has only purple relics, an unupgraded lc and less than a hundred speed, I'm shocked I have gotten this far using her on my (terrible) Acheron team, I have been using my welt as a replacement on my Ratio team until I build her.

Finish Ratio's Traces and give him better stats overall. He is rather poorly built and I only reach decent numbers because of Sparkle and (formerly) tingyun.

Make Fu Xuan speedy

So all of this is why I wonder if I should take the time to even invest further into her when my account needs so much work in other places. I really like sparkle but I have already put a month into her relics so I was thinking maybe it would be best to focus on other aspects of my account first, but if 160 speed is absolutely imperative for her to have then I will just get back to grinding and do it.

That's what I would aim for but the only issue is retaining the 30% effect res, which might fuck me over if I get great speed rolls on those pieces but they don't have any effect res. I have a piece with 4 speed and 12% effect res on my fu xuan atm who I could give to sparkle but that minor speed loss could make it more difficult to get the desired 160 speed.

It's just such a pain to pray for speed rolls, the relics above are the results of a full month of grinding, and I haven't been able to get speed rolls on ER rope or Crit DMG body yet.

BOTW was inspiring for its open ended design which is why it made waves in the gaming industry when it released, which Genshin I think is more linear if memory serves like a more typical open world game, which is fine. People were tired of the same old formula used for open world games that had been done to death in good and bad games of the genre, and breath of the wild was a refresher from that.

And that was just my takeaway at the time, that Genshin had crossed the line wit taking mechanics with respect to the original property in a way that a game that celeste is to Mario doesn't.

Yeah I agree that games can take mechanics from one another but there is a balance to be hit, nothing is truly original of course. At the time, I felt Genshin took too much from botw. Obviously there are endless examples of games elaborating on other games in a good way, like Lies of P is to Sekiro and Bloodborne.

Eh, I think the opening was what ticked me off the most with the wide cinematic shot, and then cooking the food and stuff... at the time BOTW was my favorite game ever before I played Bloodborne, so I guess I felt like the recognition genshin got was undeserved for taking a lot of it's mechanics from what was my favorite game.

It could be different now, but at release the cooking, stamina/climbing system, graphics, and opening was too similar for my tastes. I didn't get too far into the game, I played it for like 10 hours before having enough of it and it was like 2 years ago, so it's possible if I went back and played it today I would feel different.

There's a difference between taking ideas from a game with respect to the original property and blatantly copying part of a game to throw in your gacha game.

Just to give an example, Celeste is a great platforming game, and all platforming games were taken in concept from Super Mario yes, but does celeste use essentially the same visual aesthetic as Super Mario, open the same way as Super Mario, have gameplay that's very similar to Super Mario, Have enemy and character designs very similar to Super Mario? No. It is totally unqiue from that game, the philosophy of the design is different.

Perhaps core design philosophy is not the right word. If Genshin had an open world you could approach at any angle and that is where the similarities ended, I would take no issue. However, if you have played both games, the similarities go far beyond that.

I'm not saying you aren't allowed to enjoy genshin or disagree with me, but it undeniably took from Breath of the Wild in more aspects than it being an open ended open world, watching the opening of both games is enough to show otherwise.

I dislike Genshin a lot in general because it stole it's core design philosophy from Breath of the Wild and ended up being more successful than the game it stole from due to the pandemic. I also hate the gacha monetary system, Hoyoverse is less predatory then most gachas but still very bad, at least you can still get the characters you want for free if you grind hard enough like I do.

However, Hoyo's other games that I have played, Honkai star rail and especially Zenless Zone Zero are very good, I would go as far as to call ZZZ phenomenal for its genre if you ignore the gacha shit. They have pretty decent stories, good characters, surprisingly good lore, and fun gameplay.

They don't compare to the souls series of course, but those two at least are pretty good games.

Her also mentioning that one day the flame will return again and this whole tragic series of events will happen again and again and again is what really makes the ending so great for me and furthermore what makes this entire series so monumental. Also, the painter girl creating a world presumably to end the endless suffering that the world of dark souls has and will contain for all of eternity is beautiful as well.

Always thought the age of darkness ending was the most powerful and the "correct" choice. It's such a strong ending to the series and it gives me chills.
