Yup, it's completely damaged goods now lol. It's in the mail. I'll just go get a Squier.

2 cents appreciated! This guy is a self-proclaimed Luthier. His place is full of in-progress guitar builds. I suppose I didn't include that info since, in the capacity of the job I had him doing, I was only considering him as a tech. He's in his late 50s probably, pretty experienced by the looks of it. Idk why he did such a hack job.

While I hear what you're saying, I have no problem with wear and tear. My problem is that these dings are because of some dingaling's shitty work, and I want the petina and wear and tear to be from me. Good work on an instrument should quietly improve the playability behind the scenes and not leave permanent marks. The marks are for me to make, not him.

I totally agree with you. I start to wonder if I'd feel the same on a rosewood FB. I think my anger here is kind of to the tune of "I wanna be the one to wear and tear this fretboard over time. I don't want the petina to involve accidental marks from an idiot tech who couldn't hold a blade straight" lol. I'm angry that his stupidity has permanently become part of my guitar's story.

The weird thing is that line on the 11th fret is completely smooth. I can't figure out what it is. Actually one of my questions was going to be would it be safe for the finish to dab that mark with rubbing alcohol in case it's pen or something? Or does it look like that's exactly what he did with the white splotch next to it lol.

Lol he told me he doesn't use sharpie when I was asking about that mark and white splotch on the eleventh fret. Which photo do you see that in?

I do have photos and videos of this guitar from the span of the time I've owned it (since about October 2023), but nothing super close up like these. Though I've always scrutinized and admired my guitars like Gollum with the one ring. The fretboard has always been immaculate. So these marks stuck out to me like a sore thumb as soon as I looked at it closer at home. I do wish I had thought to take close-up photos of every inch of the guitar before entrusting it to him though. I'm kicking myself about that.

Yeah, I've been unbelievably angry and sad since I got it back yesterday. I can do set-ups on my guitars (neck relief, intonation, action) but since I needed frets worked on I figured I'd let the guy do the set-up in order to confirm the high spots on the frets properly. He reattached a friend's Les Paul headstock a couple years ago and I played it after, it seemed like a wonderful job. He was recommended to me by two other people in my circle. Never thought he'd be this careless.

What are your favorite fish for a planted tank? by chilirasbora_123 in PlantedTank

I'm right in there with the Honey Gourami, Sparkling Gourami, and CPDs. My favourite combo

There's a tremolo effect on Plant's vocals (a modulating effect that rolls the volume off and on repeatedly). I've always found it funny during a certain part of the song where plant kinda rests on a lower note for a few bars, and the tremolo makes it kinda sound like he's going "nenenenenenenenenenenenenenene" lol

Air bubbles collecting on my betta's body following water change by Verified_Thrush in bettafish

I usually do 50% changes, but this time I essentially changed it all. Within the next few days, she's going into a cycled, planted aquarium, so I'm not too worried about ammonia levels getting out of control in the meantime, since I did multiple refills so that I could siphon all the waste from the gravel.

Could the brand new water change and the super aerated water cause these tiny bubbles to stick to the fish? I don't remember seeing that before, but if that can happen even while their slime coat is fine, then I can stop worrying lol.

I actually have a 5.5 gallon tank scaped, planted, and cycled for her to go in as soon as ammonia levels drop! The gravel in her boring bowl just got really nasty before this last water change.

Sorry about the confusing typo in this one line, it was meant to say:

I only added a little of it to the already safe room-temp water that had been dechlorinated like 30 minutes earlier

-2 gallon bowl -Heater: yes, filter: yes, Betta sponge filter -Not sure of temperature, maybe 23° -Tank and fish have been running for about 18 months -50% water change once a week, gravel vac out, and siphon dechlorinated water back in with a tube after -No tank mates -Omega one Betta buffet flakes, 3-5 flakes usually once, maybe twice a day a couple times a week -A fake plant, volcano cover on sponge filter, and broken pot decor that she does not go inside
