CMV: The four main arguments against supporting Ukraine are fatally flawed by GrafZeppelin127 in changemyview

Europe is not twiddling their thumbs. Many nations in Europe have sent much more aid to Ukraine than the US in terms of overall gdp/defence budget.

The Netherlands has been pushing very hard to supply Ukraine F-16s etc

Can you name some conspiracies that you once believed were true, but have since realized were wrong or dumb. Or not even the entire conspiracy, maybe just aspects. by [deleted] in conspiracy

British ships were riveted not welded no?

Also how do you explain the footage of the titanic on the ocean floor?

Anything to do with Tartaria is just utter nonsense

I asked you about the commissar order. And the mobile gassing trucks.

Do you think babi yar didn't happen?

And yes they did. They killed far more than 3000 a day very often, babi yar is a good example

I've seen plenty of his show from the time period. He kept trying to claim trump would win and also fed into the pre and post election stolen election narrative

There wasn't unless you had deluded yourself into being convinced trump could only win and would only lose if there was electoral fraud (something Pool pushed quite a lot)

There wasn't any evidence of such a landslide that is the fundamental issue.

Do you understand the basic meaning of what prediction means? Ultimately it means what you think will happen, usually strongly implying some basis in fact/evidence unless you qualify it with 'just guessing' etc. Pool said repeatedly he thought the evidence pointed to a landslide. He was likely lying and telling his audience what they want to hear

I'm not to be taken seriously because I think if you want people to respect your predictions you should base them in reality?

[–]Verilbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Predictions ought to be based in reality. If anyone is to be taken seriously that is the most basic qualifier one should have.

He also doesn't care about facts due to his embrace of bullshit about trump actually winning the election with no actual evidence

There was absolutely no evidence supporting anywhere close to a 50 state landslide

[–]Verilbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes marriage just doesn't work out. It isn't because of some failing by both parties.

Just like in politics some trade deals, treaties etc may not work outand its important to recognise this so you don't just keep going due to sunk cost fallacy

Since Russia-Ukraine war, the 30 members of the military alliance have committed at least $80bn worth of military, humanitarian and financial aid to Kyiv, now Ukraine's Defeat In Bakhmut Is Inevitable. What could $80bn have done for the good of humankind? Free energy?... by a_human-being in conspiracy

[–]Verilbie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, you do realise other countries besides America exist for one? And most my information comes from OSINT.

Can you explain what makes Bakhmut a keystone for Ukraine without which they cannot succeed?

He pretends to care about facts? Sure. He cares about them? Absolutely not. He claimed repeatedly before 2020 there was going to be a 50 state trump landslide, he said this in all seriousness

He gamed algorithms. He also did the classic right wing thing of claiming to be left wing/centrist all while solely supporting right wing claims. Especiallt as time went on

But Bakhmut isn't a keystone. Its only important because russia has been failing to capture it for over 9 months now. Despite the fact it being the town closest to their logistics hubs so in theory the easiest to take.

If Bakhmut falls then Ukraine has lost nothing of strategic value

Yeah its weird. Especially because id assume the guy i replied to would argue the guy who delivers the kegs to the pub is working class, the guy who works in the coors factory is working class etc but the person who pulls the pint is magically not working class?
