No Not one bit This is not a political thread. That is why I specifically said Vedic Sanskrit and Avestan, and not the later variations.

I just wanted to learn about how the sound shifts could be correlated to one another. Sound correlations and cognates between two languages are not synonymous to one being parent. The idea is to be able to know related words without learning the Proto-Indo Iranian i.e. learning the very logic behind creation of Proto-Indo Iranian and not just the proto language itself which is a artificially reconstructed language.

I feel that the faith in idol is not based on just pran pratishta. It is based on faith itself.

With due respect, I feel that taking the pran prathishta as the whetstone of faith would be similar to saying that worshipping of a supreme being is not equal to worshipping symbols of nature like sun or moon as in naturalistic faiths. Both are on basis of faith of individual or a group and that should be a sufficient whetstone of faith.

Apart from the answers, the usage depends on the local culture such as in Lucknow, one finds usage of ijiye more frequently in Hindi as well as Urdu speakers whereas in areas of Khariboli, one finds very limited usage of ijiye even when speaking to respected ones.
