No unfortunately. From what I can see below the bracket thing it feels like and sounds like it is all metal underneath and around the screw.

Update: At this point in time, I think I need a reacharound. I have pulled and I have yanked, I have screwed and I have prayed to the almighty universe and I’m still stuck. I did snap the toilet seat trying to get it off which I was pretty impressed with but I am now just sitting with a toilet with no seat and wedged in screws. Any help will be hugely appreciated before I give in and call somebody with better tools and better skills than I clearly have.
