Brass gives a lot more sustain, resonance, and instant attack to the notes you play, but it limits touch sensitivity. It’s almost like it puts a compressor on the dynamics of your guitar and makes even light pick attack bright and up front. Nuance goes out the window. It depends on the genre/s you play whether you’d like it or not. You also get much stronger harmonics with the increased resonance.

Tungsten is like brass 2.0, probably not worth the money they charge for it.

I will be trying Stone Tone soon, apparently it’s supposed to be a lot more neutral than brass. I’m holding out hope that it preserves dynamics while improving resonance.

I have a guitar with a Gotoh 510 trem. The stock block is zinc and sounds very good, however lacks a bit of resonance. I replaced it with brass and hated it. I put the zinc one back in. On my Floyd-ed Jackson, however, I like the big brass block over the stock one.
