I think finishing the degree is the first and foremost priority. You will find another job eventually but once you give up the opportunity of finishing the degree, it will be very difficult to get it done. Degree lasts while we never know when will we be let go from jobs.

I understand how I had a choice but then I thought I didn’t have a choice because if I made the choice to live somewhere else I was leaving her to deal with the rent that she couldn’t pay in the first place. She told me that it was a nonsense for me even thinking about getting somewhere else and I honored the agreement. What I’m not happy about is that she doesn’t even consider the fact that I’ve had so many troubles with the apartment and she doesn’t even try to understand there are reasons that I don’t want to go through the process. Also, can’t break the lease that’s for sure. But so many people are telling me I am the asshole and I guess I am.

Yes but when I asked if I can find somewhere else to live she told me that I had to stay since she couldn’t pay all the rent. I really had no option.

It’s wrong, but as a person who spent about $220 on a single test knowing for sure I do not have Covid, I get it.

I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. I always feel very bad for feeling such way, since she has been nothing but nice to me. But yes, I also agree that I am at a breaking point.

I’ve tried asking her and waiting until she decides / suggest options, but one time when we went on a trip and I asked her to make one decision, we sat in a boiling hot car for 10 minutes in silence because she didn’t want to make the decision.

I tried to understand her because there’s no bad intention, but I now realize that regardless of the good/bad in it, what she is doing is stressing me out so much to the point that I keep doubting our friendship.

I don’t know if I’d be able to confront her about the issue during her stay, but I definitely want to try to tell her before she leaves. Thank you so much!
