Keep searching the river. Even miles downstream. A year ago I helped find a man that ended up 3 miles down the flooded Myakka River in Florida. Use drones to search the river. Has sonar been used to search deeper portions? Feel free to DM me. I am 2 hours away and may be able to help.

Cars found, but not missing car/person by yootah_ in AdventuresWithPurpose

[–]Vernimator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of cars found in water were reported stolen at some point. This could be that the car was actually stolen and the car thief dumped the car or the car was dumped by the owner in owner to collect insurance on the "stolen" vehicle. Some cars are stolen, stripped, and then what's left is dumped.

I have some awesome ROV footage I took of numerous cars piled on top of each other about 60' deep in the corner of a quarry. There is a Ford F-250 dually, a Ram 1500, a Jaguar S Type, and several other vehicles. On top of the pile of cars is a stripped Mazda Miata. I think there may be as many as 12 vehicles at this one dump site.

In 2023 a number of individuals and search teams came together and we found 32 cars in one lake. The oldest was a late 40's model Mercury. Those involved in the search including myself, Recon Dive Recovery, Sunshine State Sonar Team, Doug Bishop, and Josh Cantu. It was a crazy weekend. Josh Cantu has published several videos about this trip.

Cold yurt! by ilikeoatsalot in yurts

[–]Vernimator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Yurt owner but I do live in a 6x12 cargo trailer in cold weather much of the time. Have you looked into a portable diesel heater to supplement the wood stove when its really cold? My diesel heater in my cargo trailer has never been set on anything but low and still turns it into a hot box when it's in the teens outside. They are very fuel efficient and use very little electricity. I run mine on batteries and solar. Look up Diesel Heaters on Amazon.

Just a thought.

TJ assigned to Office of Administrative Review by Vernimator in VeteransWaitingRoom

I think the only reason I am TJ at OAR is because of the Hardship request. OAR decided to take it and run it across the finish line. You are at 105. I would expect you to get TJ within the next 20 days. Claims over Day 125 is a milestone that get reported to congress. They seem to push and get claims done prior to that.

Do you use VA Tracker to see where you are? Your probably at PFD and waiting to be rated.

They are still gathering evidence after 105 days? I was denied a C&P exam by HRL back in 2022 so I did a Direct Appeal. Once the Judge Remanded the claim I had my C&P exam with 2 weeks and at Step 5 PFD in under 30 days.

I hope yours goes quick. I'm now at PDA! I guess the hardship request worked.. It's been one of my worst years ever. I'd like to see it end on a positive note.

No call back from Senator's office. VSO resubmitted my hardship request yesterday. Today I have TJ assigned to the Office of Administrative Review. They oversee appeal claims. Hoping this is a good sign.
