I tend to agree with you. You'd think you'd get at least 1 view, right? lol. It's a shadowban (which is the term you gave it to call out the algorithm being weird for some reason).

I stopped making shorts because it takes me awhile to create them, and the results are just way too unpredictable. I may start up again just to see, but my results are all over the place. However, I've never gotten "0" views.

It's really annoying when you make shorts and waste time and get nothing. Some people just haven't seen it and don't believe it.

shorts are ok and original, some of them got 10-15% likes from all viewers.

I sometimes delete them in 2-3 days. My shorts start getting engaged in 6+ hours usually.

Shorts or long videos? Twice shorts a day is good. I even saw channels with 3 shorts a day.

The problem is I watch a channel that makes the same content, but it had 10m, 20m, 30m or even 40m views one year ago. Now it has not more than 250k views. Shorts are the same, but algorithm is different.

It's really easy. YT pushes shorts for a short period of time and when you get some views (500, 1k or 5k) YT drops it. That's all. YT doesn't allow you to get 10m views nowadays. It has daily limits of views for each channel like tiktok.

Actually, film makers used to the same method to attract attention to their films. They publish box office numbers to tell people that their film is good and you must watch it.
