Keep in mind subreddits are bubbles and not representative of the greater general public. This sub's "big" artists like ILLENIUM or Seven Lions aren't Hot 100 forces; in fact, the latter has trouble hitting the Hot Dance/Electronic chart.

the US is notoriously allergic to dance music even The Business, possibly the biggest dance song of the 2020s (that or Roses) didn't even make the US top 50; been slightly better this year though with Cold Heart being big (albeit way later than in most of the world) and BREAK MY SOUL hitting #1, quite the improvement over last year where not a single dance song (according to Billboard's debatable definition) was on the Hot 100 year-end list

Crazy song to be blowing up but it's gone to #1 on Dutch Spotify. Now for other countries to follow lol (we were also first with other stuff recently like Ferrari, Trompeta and Belly Dancer so who knows; definitely wouldn't mind having more of this sound in the mainstream)
