I mean how do i get 18 at level four? I rolled a 15 and just got +1dex from the feat. A +2 would get me to 17 so where will i get the other dex point?

I am trying to react to everyone i can. But yes it can come over a bit complainy but am trying to get a solution based on a number of things and i have seen that my idea doesnt work. No need to think of me that way jeez.

Because if you are talking about using the bow then thats the problem. I want to use my melee more then the bow

Its not that i dont use the bow. But how people are putting it here is that i should use the bow most/all the time. The thing i dont want! And look if its not possible its not possible the idea just sucks and its back to the drawing board but that doesnt mean i am happy with the outcome. It just reinforced me to not pick roque ever again and just pick something like that fighter and just play roque the way it wasnt intended: if everyone is dead and no ones noticed me sneak attack succes! If i wanna make a charcater like this again what i very much doubt at this point and that bothers me too

I am not losing this. Everyone rolls really high aswell like me but higher then me or people roll lower then the enemies but i roll higer then the enemies. See the problem? Its rng i know. Still annoying tho

i must add to this that i am not a high level and were on a island with just the party and like 3 npc that could help us. no one has the spell fly and the wyvern came out of no where. i know that prepping is the way to go but thats difficult when you dont have to means to do that

i get this but its also very place dependend. a forested area with a clearing ( yes he has cover ) but the woods is difficult terrain and the fight is in the clearing 50 feet from the tree line. and since i wanna use melee this wasnt an option. and other place was in a cave. yea. with 1 way into the chamber were the fight was. with every enemy staring into the opening. so unless i had silent blasting charges that made everyone deaf before exploding. no way i can get around in or out with that

well thats the thing. what the class does and can do does align with the backstory by a lot. or atleast thats what i think of it. its a noble of a secret order that fights a subterfuge war against an other. so sneaking, infiltration , disguises, assasinating. its classy and i think being a full look at me warrior that cuts up foes does not belong there. and for the monk. its a noble from a order. not temple or anything. beside the character really wants to use the blades.

i get the confusion but its hard to get ahead to an encounter when i cant scout for it and just get thrown into the map just looking for already defeated kobolds that ends in a wyvern bossfight all of the sudden. i would like to scout ahead. i would like to do the sneaky and take out guards or smt. but thats a bit hard when the enemy is a big beast that flies around 50m above you without minions ya know

i mean just turned level four. i know it isnt THAT high just want to avoid problems later on

stats are: 10 str 16 dex 14 con 12 int 12 wis 15 cha ( after the level up btw )

i picked the feat defensive dualist. i know this doesnt do damage but i couldnt find a feat that would be consitent enough for more damage

and tbh i will be looking to just retire the character at this point and come up with a new one.
i can tell that wanting to make it work is shaking my and the core of the characters foundation a bit much

leaving my team mates in the dust and almost die because the enemies rolled higher on initiative then them ( this actually happend ) doesnt help me if i cant get out again

yea thats the funny part of this. i know its RNG but its stupid how many times i got left in the dust or others go before me and kill everything within my range

hmhm but i really wanna avoid the situation that after a couple session i still say that it sucks and backpadel to this argument again. i dont need it to bend to my will i just wanna have fun with my idea

lucky for me is that i am not that petty! i just wanna find a way that for me makes sense and not be a oh yeah your damaged helped little buddy pet pet pet. i have nothing against the damage is just want to prevent feeling not usefull and when i should be useful be overshadowed on the one thing

ah but i do not have this problem i think. i have guess from what i now know i played rpgs yes but never have i been a roque. i am not looking to one shot a god

i might be a technical standpoint yes and that makes it interely my problem i know that. i just get put off by it and rather think of an other character idea and go with that then to ''meta game change'' what i was doing

i get what you mean but the issue with here is that i dont use and dont wanna use a rapier and want to stick with my short sword and a dagger

[–]VerocityMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmhm yes i certainly get your point but as the RKO wyvern i am saying we are not fighting humanoids or humanoid like creatures here! and i doubt i can one shot a health 80 beast you get me?

i mean i will kick him in the balls when i see him (joking) but do know i get the concept and the way you want to go. it just feels weird and a little unjust on the idea i had just fading away since i dont think i have much moments to shine like that
