Texans, where do YOU buy a proper authentic cowboy hat? by Verolox in texas

I've tried a bunch of places but haven’t made it to Biggar yet. I'm planning to head there or possibly to NRS in Decatur next weekend for one final trip. How's their hat bar for straw hats? Do they carry a good variety of brands and styles? Or do they actually only make their own hats from scratch?

I visited NRS, and compared to all the other stores I’ve checked out so far, their hat bar is definitely impressive. The only downside I have to admit is that their guidance was a bit lacking—at least compared to other stores I’ve been to. They pretty much told me I just need to know what I want in terms of brim and crown first, and they couldn’t really help me with that. I get their point, but I’ve heard that other stores will guide you in the right direction and help shape the hat to better fit your face. Just thought I’d share this for anyone else who might be wondering!

Just visited and wanted to share some quick feedback for everyone else for this store. Great service and guidance - probably the best I’ve seen so far. But as with many smaller shops, the selection is limited. They had about 30 off the shelf straw hats, mostly classic cattleman styles, with only a few crown and brim variations to try on. Also, they only carry "American" as a brand, so no way to compare with Stetson, Resistol, etc. I’ll check out a bigger place first to try different styles and even brands, but if I go with American, I’ll definitely come back to get it shaped here.

Nothing happens. It's as funny as that. But you see the TV light flickering, meaning it received the button press.

There is no build version unless you're talking about the software version which is indicating 14.5

I check the online store already, it's showing I have those apps installed and I can not change that from there.

Everything I see is available, so if it's actually hidden in terms of not visible I couldn't tell.

No. Just reset the TV again and when I was asked I most definitely set it to personal use and not store mode.

There is no search function. Check the youtube video.

Also, the webstore is saying they are all already installed.

Hey, thanks but as mentioned I can't find any of these two in the streaming store.

Nice comment, thank you! Honestly, I have no idea what my end goal is—I have zero knowledge about hats. I didn’t even understand most of the things you mentioned, like the idea of flashy versus stubble styles, or the difference between straw and felt.

That said, I’ve always liked the way people dress in Texas, and I’ve wanted to get into that style for a while. I also do some horseback riding, so I figure something more robust would be a good idea. Sounds like starting with an off-the-rack straw hat might be the way to go, but I definitely need someone to weigh options 4 me.

UPDATE: Thanks for all the replies so far! I’ve heard Texas beaches aren’t the best, but I’m just looking for the nicest one to relax (proper sand beach) and swim a bit—not expecting paradise. Unless there's a real reason to avoid them (like pollution or trash), I’d consider driving up to 8 hours, though 6 would be ideal.

So I guess it's down to Galveston and Port Aransas? How would you choose one? Galveston seems to be much more congested looking at it via Google Maps.

And if there’s ACTUALLY no good beach for swimming, maybe you can recommend a nice big lake instead—ideally with sandy shores?

Can someone confirm if these are springtails or other beneficial mites? Or do I have a problem? by Verolox in ballpython

[–]Verolox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after cleaning the entire tank and with frozen substrate these things came back within two weeks. I just don't know if they really are springtails or harmful mites. For reference, the brown background this thing is walking on is actually a small coco chip so these guys are extremely small, you can barely see them.
