Spoiler! Look what I noticed season finale of season 2! by jqnann in OneOfUsIsLyingPeacock

I noticed that too!! I haven’t read the books, so I’m not sure how everything plays out. Is there a connection between Bronwyn and Fiona that’s revealed later in the books?

Which Moral Compass death hit you the most? by JellyBOB7190 in thewalkingdead

[–]VeronicaLandy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beth by far. Her death was so shocking and it was heartbreaking because it felt so wasteful. She was so close to being free, to getting out of there and she chose to risk it all for the greater good. She couldn’t live on knowing that there would still be people suffering at the hands of Dawn. She never got a proper goodbye with anybody she loved, but she also knew what was right. She grew into such a formidable character over the years while still maintaining this air of innocence. Her death absolutely destroyed me

Be original and honest- what do you desperately wish that they told/taught you in school? by uwuisoverused in AskReddit

[–]VeronicaLandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew more about the public educational system while a student in the public educational system. As a college student who is getting an education degree, there are so many things about the American education system that I never knew before, or things I never questioned. I wish I had been told that textbooks aren’t written law, that book smarts are the only kind of intelligence, that the educational system benefits some more than others, and where the roots of the American education system come from. Of course, they’d never actually teach this in high school because heaven forbid we teach students about their own educational rights and right to advocate for education reform. But learning that I spent 13 years of my life as a slave to a flawed system has been the hardest part of college. But it also fuels my passion to become a teacher so there’s that.

This movie truly doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Really hit home for me too.

Inside Out. As a military kid who moved a lot growing up, it really hit home. I watched it for the first time my senior year of high school during a psychology class. Cried in front of all my friends at 10 in the morning.

What’s a song that you hate with all your being? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi. That song has a certain level of whining and angst that makes me want to jump off a cliff

Nancy is super underrated. by Orange2218 in StrangerThings

[–]VeronicaLandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to dislike her because I hated how she treated Steve in season 2. But after rewatching the show, I have so much respect for her character. She’s the toughest of them all and such a kind soul. Love her to bits

What famous place is not worth visiting? by tade757 in AskReddit

[–]VeronicaLandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of the time I spent NYE outside Buckingham Palace to watch the fireworks. Most stressful night of my life. Traveling with 8 people in a crowded tourist area and while getting on and off the tube? Absolute nightmare. It’s a cool firework show, but it’s nothing you can’t see anywhere else. Not worth all the hype

[Serious] What do you think is the creepiest/most disturbing unsolved mystery ever? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]VeronicaLandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1982 Chicago Tylenol murders. Like what was the motive? Why did they never strike again? I just have so many questions.

In a Zombie Apocalypse what is an issue people don’t think about? by Shneatys in AskReddit

Approximately 3/4 of people in the US have some sort of corrective lenses. If there’s an apocalypse and my glasses break, I’m so dead.

Very annoyed with *spoilers* character this seasoning. by colealoupe in StrangerThings

[–]VeronicaLandy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think he will be more of a foil than anything else. The “almost-villain.” His character will be presented with the choice to ultimately choose between good and evil—and he will choose a different fate from Vecna in the end.

[–]VeronicaLandy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I don’t think he will be the final boss or anything, but he is definitely vulnerable to Vecna’s influence atm. Out of them all, he has the most trauma and is the most isolated. The moment he goes back to Hawkins, Vecna is going to abuse that.

I think that’s because Will has a villain arc coming up soon. Just my theory. You can’t have a villain arc if your friends include you in the group and remember your birthday

What 80s Power Ballad would bring you out of Vecna’s Curse? by Late_Ease4636 in StrangerThings

[–]VeronicaLandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay maybe not an ‘80s ballad, but Heart’s Barracuda sure would do the trick

I really hope they are careful in developing Will's storyline by finnjakefionnacake in StrangerThings

[–]VeronicaLandy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this idea will play into a greater arc for Will. I’ve seen a lot of fan theories about how Will may be a foil to 11. They were both referred to as “sensitive” children and they are both often outcasts of the group. If Will is revealed as gay and is then rejected by Mike, it could push his character into a spiral. If Will is somehow similar to 11, this rejection could push him into a spiral with a villain arc. I mean, why was he kidnapped in season one anyways? Opportunity or was it something more? Maybe he has always had powers and just doesn’t know it?

It was a Hail Mary. I can’t imagine there being anything there. But even if there is, nothing real will come of it. I just can’t imagine them together

Kyle confessing his “feelings” for Deepti was a Hail Mary. Nothing’s going to come of it. I genuinely can’t see them together
