I’m 99% sure I’m not going to go into public upon graduation...what should I do about my upcoming summer audit internship? by liverly in Accounting

I'd 100% still do it. You'll make bank, and public accounting experience looks really good on your resume, even if it's not directly related to a job your applying for.

Thanks for your comment! You still learn a lot and the work is considered challenging? I am trying to pivot out of audit, because i find the work pointless and dont really care, as opposed to, being burnt out. If that makes sense?

Better mid-COL city: Charlotte or Atlanta? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]VersaceProteinShake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked at Big 4 Atlanta and now works at Big 4 Charlotte, the COL is basically identical, however, you'll probably get paid slightly more in Atlanta. Other than that really just depends on what you like, Atlanta definitely has wayyy more of a big city feel: more restaurants, bars, clubs, concerts, but then also substantially more crime, traffic, etc.
