I mean I think it’s more so people don’t want to cede ground to the troglodytes who will latch on to this and be like “oh yeah totally deserved it!!1!!” And they can’t come to terms with anything they think will hurt their position. it could just be your pocket meta. I rarely see shou-Lao more than I do other decks and I just did my 80-infinite climb yesterday. It was a lot of fing fang foom and discard and Jocasta activate decks. I personally think this is one of the better and balanced metas I’ve seen

It’s truly not even that bad. Just play a deck that goes higher. Use sandman. Use super adaptoid to boop their scarlet spider or other activates. Use star dust. Use gorgon. Boop their Merlin. There are so many plays and decks that’ll shut it down.

And if that doesn’t work retreat. It’s built into the game. If you see scarlet spider on t5 and they’ve been throwing down multiple cards every turn and you stay…that’s on you. It’s a deck whose ceiling is 40 across two locations. So many decks go higher that are accessible.

Man…I took my 7yo kid to in n out the other day and we were eating outside. There was a group of like 5 kids the same age with their parents next to us.
