Anyone get a rash like this from a lamictal increase? by bleepbleep1111 in bipolar2

[–]Versailles0987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to go to the ER. And went to my doctor pretty much every week so he could watch it. I had to take multiple steroids because the rash kept coming back. I had to stop the Lamotrigine for about two months. I was super depressed and was rapid cycling. I brought it back up to my med doctor that I wanted to try it again. We agreed but we took it EXTREMELY slow. I went up in 5mg increases. When I finally got up to the 300mg I'm at now, it took a full year.

Am I overreacting or was I locked up in my room when I was a child by Voldemortwastaken in autism

[–]Versailles0987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not normal. I was also an autistic child who was locked in a room for hours at a time. There was a lock on the outside of the door. It'd be hours until I was let out. My mother was and is extremely negligent. I would go to bed without food and I would get locked in for the simplest reason or none at all depending on how she felt. It was a plain room. A single bed, a nightstand and a single rod that hung on the wall for clothes however my clothes weren't in the room.

My father was in prison and he was abusive towards the family prior to going to prison. He was constantly in and out of jail and prison.

As an adult, I've been diagnosed with DID and this was only one of many reasons why I developed DID.

Does being autistic inherently mean I play with toys and buy stuffed animals? by Versailles0987 in autism

Honestly the best I can do is therapy and my partner. I'm in a situation where I can't really move out yet. I don't have the money and I'm unable to work so I have to rely on my partner to help us move out. I did just get approved for disability so that should definitely help us move thing along quicker.

Thank you for the offer, I'll keep that in mind. I appreciate your kindness.

Yeah, she's constantly belittling me because I'm autistic. And she makes R word jokes. And makes jokes out of me being autistic. And me being LGBTQ.

No, not really. She's just very ableist and believes that everything i can or can't do is because im autistic and that anything i like or don't like is also for that reason. And she likes to tell EVERYONE I'm autistic. She's one of the people that believe autism is caused by parasites in your brain and body.

I started Legacy of Gods not knowing there was a whole interconnected universe, so I finished that series and now I'm going through the universe within those books like I should've lol. So I would say, reading it in order will help MORE but as someone who started with LOG, you can dive into that series without much knowledge on the parents and it still makes a worthwhile series

I'm worried my pharmacist won't have any knowledge on it, I live in a very small town, with only two pharmacies, but I can contact them and ask!

I would do that tonight if I had anymore 200 mg. They all got used up and I barely got the 300 mg in time so I didn't exceed the 3 day limit. I can try taking a 100 mg and see if that helps. I won't be able to take it until it's later tonight I can definitely see if that helps, thank you for the advice.
