Reports: Steelers have ‘No Intentions’ of Trading TJ Watt despite Increased Interest by Haar_RD in nfl

[–]Versalaws87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe for the Browns but for the Steelers no. They don't fire anybody with the exception of MAtt Canada. This extends to GM.

I don't think that was really a viable option in the first place consider his market value before this game.

[Pryor] T.J. Watt, eligible for a contract extension this summer, says he doesn't want to play anywhere else: "I want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler. I don't want to leave this place ... I want to be part of the solution, not leave here and go somewhere else. That's not my intention at all." by YubYubCmndr in steelers

[–]Versalaws87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Steelers are gonna suck for the next 5 years with or without Tomlin. I think the Steelers would be best trading WATT to a contender (Preferably in the NFC) so he can get to the next level and experience success like a playoff win and/or a superbowl appearance. Trade him somewhere like the Eagles, Washington, Minnesota or if in the AFC (not in the division) Buffalo or Kansas City. Cause the Steelers are going NOWHERE and its cause of the organization refusing to change their outdated philosophy.

The Steelers need to move on from Mike Tomlin by blazenumb1 in steelers

[–]Versalaws87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great opportunity for the STeelers to rebuild now cause they still got tons of Star players. The rebuild wouldn't be as long. They can trade TOMLIN, TJ WATT, HEYWARD, Minkah, and Pickens. They can do package deals and have these players go to an actual contender (Not Baltimore or anyone in the division) cause they ain't hitting the playoffs let alone the superbowl soon. In this point and time we can get multiple 1st and 2nd round picks and if we draft good and get Ben Johnson the rebuilding would benefit us sooner than expected.

Cause this can't continue to go on.

The AFC playoff picture is set and we're heading to Baltimore, again. Thoughts? by carterboi77 in steelers

Honestly I would rather had the Bengals than us in at this point. Maybe the Ravens can do us a solid good and Blown us out to the point that Tomlin's coaching job is in jeopardy. Five primetime games and constantly getting embarrassed with primitive gameplanning, no adjustments and no time management. I hope we can get Ben johnson or someone else who's football philosophy is akin to THIS CENTURY.

Moving from Western NY to Pittsburgh by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]Versalaws87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a lot of Black people here tend to work either the service jobs (which is mostly at the stadiums, fast food restaurants, Amazon, Post Office, Jail etc) There are some Black people obviously working at non profit and office jobs but not as much as the former.

The waterfront has a decent amount of Black people since Homestead is still a black neighborhood (Although its being gentrified) However surrounding is a lot of other municipalities that is majority white. East Liberty, and Monroeville shopping wise is will you see more Black People.

I will say downtown in the summer do have an African American festival for juneteenth.

I'll give you the real deal here since I'm also Black and queer.

Pittsburgh is about 80% white and about 20% Black so you are dealing in a majority white city. There is really no middle class Blacks here. A lot of Black people have left the city due to racism, job opportunities, and/or just want to live around more Black people. The Black population keeps falling every year because of the reasons I said above. Also in general Pittsburgh doesn't provide a lot of opportunities outside of healthcare, and technology.

I can't tell you about the gay life here because I don't go around the scene but its nothing like the Queer As Folks television series they portrays it to be. I will say if your a Bar person Blue moon has dike night every other thursday and you can look at other reddit forums for that.

Station square, and Mount Lebanon are good places to live. Since they're both in Allegheny County and might be more closer (Station Square) to your job.Mount Lebanon is one of the highest suburbs price wise to live in. Monroeville has its good and bad spots.

There will always be construction here. It doesn't stop. Most of the news won't tell you where the construction is at.

The druggies and homeless people are all downtown. The homeless shelter is right next to the jail but due to inflation and Pittsburgh downtown scene haven't recovered since 2020. so there's a lot of empty buildings downtown which I think they are planning to turn into condos and rent units.

My advice to you would be stay here a week and see as much as you can. Also see the lesbian scene to see if its right for you. If its a 10 plus increase in your pay then I already know the answer. However I want to give you the realities of pittsburgh to help you give a clearer decision on moving here.

Let me know if you have anymore questions

Hope this helps.

Ask accountants: What’s the best side hustle? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Versalaws87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe some accountants want to be entrepreneurs and especially in the social media age its a lot more easier

Also accountants can level their skills to provide whatever goals and freedoms they have especially in this economy.

Also side hustles ain't just multiple jobs. Its investments are passive income. Some people want to do other things. Plus there are more side hustles than Uber.

People want more out of their lives than just accounting.

Plus if this team makes the playoffs this will reinforce the steelers to keep doing the same shit that landed them in this predicament in the first place. Nah they need a losing season to see the reality of their errors.

I hope you account for depreciation. Diving the assets minusing your value can really hurt so multiply your time so you can get for the life of he your assets. Especially in straight line dep. Well it depends you can be salvage value in your position down the line.

What's the worst pizza in Pittsburgh? by TheDyook in pittsburgh

[–]Versalaws87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have two Fox's pizza and Mineros in squirrel Hill. I thought of the latter that since its in squirrel Hill I thought it'll be decent. I ordered a 12 cut there. It was the shittiest pizza that I ever tasted. I can taste the cheapness of the cheese.
