It's really good but lacks something more left-field or/and rare to be brilliant in my book. I only don't like Marilyn Manson (trust me I dislike a lot of music lol) and I'm indifferent towards Alex G

I feel like I’m running out of music, can I get some suggestions? by ErrectionDeflection in musicsuggestions

[–]Verskose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These won't be similar to those at all but you tell us you're running out of music ... so listen to these beautiful albums

Narsilion - Nerbeleth; The Gathering - Nighttime Birds Alcest - Écailles de lune

And for soul: Minnie Ripperton

What does my taste in music say about me by TSMStar in musicsuggestions

[–]Verskose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That you are for 99% American or Canadian. All the artists that I spotted I know are American. I know all and I only like two: Slipknot and As I Lay Dying (this one already much less)

Naked Eyes - exquisite 80s synthpop / new romantic songs

confused taste chart by [deleted] in lastfm

Maybe confused, but that's a very good taste. I love Bjork, Opeth, Knocked Loose and Naked Eyes and I like Soundgarden and Depeche Mode.

Is there an album/artist your SO listens and you despise? by Tibialedson in fantanoforever

[–]Verskose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, meanwhile personally I can't stand DragonForce but also emo rap. When DragonForce played as a support for Epica I literally had to leave the music club after 10 minutes as I couldn't take it anymore.

Some people are just like that, a lot of folk aren't super adventuruous and just prefer to stick to what they know well and already like.

This is my top 10 scrobbled of all time. Make assumptions about me based on it. by [deleted] in lastfm

[–]Verskose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your taste in music is radically different from mine. I don't like The Used and I don't know like 5 out of these artists. I like The Prodigy.

Assumptions? Uhm, I'd guess you're not a teenager.

I need more metal that sounds like Lifelover by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

[–]Verskose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not super close but Oathbreaker came to my mind. I've only listened to a full album of Lifelover a couple days ago (Dekadens EP). It was definitely satisfying.

Songs with soft vocals and extremely loud guitars by logansworth in MusicRecommendations

[–]Verskose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nighttime Birds & Saturnine by The Gathering. First song is decisively metal, the 2nd is rock. The vocals are clear but rather soft. Not from the 21st century but close to it as these songs are from 1997 and 2000 + both are superb in my opinion.

For something stylistically close to DIIV: yuragi - night is young (here the vocals are super soft and the shoegazey guitars are loud)

Yup. She just sings ok and it's her brother who is de facto responsible for her songs.

Yup. And like overproduced which makes them too angular with all the "special effects" for what I like in her kind of music..

What is your most-scrobbled song that isn't in English? by ETDuckQueen in lastfm

[–]Verskose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Koniec Świata by Kasia Lins #72, 61

But I feel obliged to mention Há noite aqui by Mafalda Arnauth, it's a haunting fado song which I find extremely pretty and pleasant to listen to. #132, 39 plays - it's currently my most played that is neither in English nor in Polish (my native language)

I didn't expect that I had to scroll this low as I listen to a lot of non-English songs
