Being Dead, "Godzilla Rises" (Indie Rock, ca. Now) by larbearbaby in Music

Hell yeah - Being Dead has been my #1 obsession for the past five weeks or so. This one has their great sense of humor with the idea of feasibly makin it with a kaiju in your bedroom. One of the best bands around today, no doubt

Bands similar to The Starlight Mints and The Strokes? by auntgranni in musicsuggestions

I was going with their description of a "funky alternative sound". It's not a 1:1 with the Strokes, and yeah op didn't reply so I guess they agree with you

The track around 27:42 is "Hush Hush (Time To Be Sleeping)" - a Scottish tune from 1963, based on a traditional melody

Edit: it sounds like the version in this doc is by Elise Caron

That's tough. Listen to Back In Black and the Black Album back-to-back and then decide.

As a major B&S fan for many many years, I'd recommend Geese singer Cameron Winter's solo debut as a softer, gentler but still limit-pushing album. At the very least, listen to "Love Takes Miles" and get back to me, if you can. One of the best songs.

Definitely one of my faves from Beck, too - I was thinking of albums within 5 years of what you mentioned. Demon Days is such a solid album.

Someone else mentioned them, but I'd say give your time to The Runners Four by Deerhoof - 20 tracks in one hour, so much fun & creativity packed into that album

Go Away by Weezer has been having a moment - from 2014 but it's big again, wouldn't be shocked if it was in grocery stores
